Brilliant book perfect for anyone starting up in philosophy

The book arrived on time but unfortunately cake dirty and despite my efforts to clean it it appears to be stained. This is supposed to be a secret santa present but it looks pre-owned

Good quality with prompt delivery

I started a Doctorate programme with zero knowledge of philosophy and yet it was one of the central modules! In panic I bought some books to get me started on the basics and this really did the job! It was very accessible. I would really recommend it if you wanted to dip your toe in, or if you're using it as a basis to help make sure you didn't sound like much of an eejit in front of your class! I'm now hardcore into philosophy!

As is now normal, the speed of delivery was excellent. The book was sold as new and its condition is new.

Its a good book but the quality is not the same as the pictures. Its not really a hard cover and the print is messy on the cover and on some pages its faded a bit.

These group of 101 books make learning a subject interesting clear and as easy as possible they are set out well and cover the subject thoroughly

Well-written book that covers all the important parts of the history of Philosophy without being too complicated.

From the introduction to the the Stephanus numbers, this book is very well organized. It contains references to more reading and provides easy interpretations. I would recommend this book above all others. I had another version of The Republic on kindle but found it much less useful.

By the end, I found myself wanting to dive deeper into several philosophers and concepts mentioned throughout the book. Highly recommend for students, casual readers, or anyone interested in understanding how major philosophical ideas still connect to modern life today.
