Cool!
Book is mini and I had expected a bigger annual style one, however it’s very cute and full of information. My sister loved them as a gift - great stocking fillers

The book arrived on time but unfortunately cake dirty and despite my efforts to clean it it appears to be stained. This is supposed to be a secret santa present but it looks pre-owned

Helped me in a time of panic!
I started a Doctorate programme with zero knowledge of philosophy and yet it was one of the central modules! In panic I bought some books to get me started on the basics and this really did the job! It was very accessible. I would really recommend it if you wanted to dip your toe in, or if you're using it as a basis to help make sure you didn't sound like much of an eejit in front of your class! I'm now hardcore into philosophy!

Good but not really a hardcover
Its a good book but the quality is not the same as the pictures. Its not really a hard cover and the print is messy on the cover and on some pages its faded a bit.

Exceptionally well done.
From the introduction to the the Stephanus numbers, this book is very well organized. It contains references to more reading and provides easy interpretations. I would recommend this book above all others. I had another version of The Republic on kindle but found it much less useful.

Good Book
“Philosophy 101” is one of the easiest and most engaging introductions to philosophy I’ve read. Paul Kleinman does a great job breaking down complicated ideas from philosophers like Plato, Socrates, Nietzsche, Descartes, and Kant into short, digestible sections that never feel overwhelming. What makes this book stand out is how approachable it is for beginners. Instead of reading like a dense college textbook, it feels conversational and genuinely interesting. The mix of philosophy history, thought experiments, ethics, metaphysics, and psychology-style explanations kept me hooked the entire time. I also appreciated the layout and pacing — perfect for reading a few pages at a time without getting lost. It’s a great starting point for anyone curious about philosophy but intimidated by where to begin. By the end, I found myself wanting to dive deeper into several philosophers and concepts mentioned throughout the book. Highly recommend for students, casual readers, or anyone interested in understanding how major philosophical ideas still connect to modern life today.
