Strong and very effective
Wow these are strong... initially I felt bad about using them but I really have a difficulty with the big black house spiders that seem to appear in the Autumn and terrify me when I am least expecting it.I know folk say they cannot hurt you but I am not prepared to take the risk.Seriously, I always try to trap them under a glass if I see them and then release them a distance away but these give me peace of mind as I slide them under my bed and they have certainly caught some monsters... 🕷I do not dislike all spiders and am quite happy to let several live in the house including the big spindly ones that sit up high - apparently these will trap and kill the monster house spiders. To release a spider from the trap drop some olive oil around its legs and it will run away... but do it far from the house or they will be back.... like the Terminator but much, much worse.

These are really very good.
These are really good. I have them positioned along skirting boards beneath bookcases and underneath a little used side door into a sun room. Caught an astonishing number of the brutes and also a lot of little beetle/fly creatures that they feed on. I think these are definitely better than the fold-up cardboard traps that I used previously. I will be ordering more of them. Have withheld one star because they are expensive - however, as a confirmed arachnophobe, worth it!!

Great product, a bit overpriced
Great product. They caught all the horrible housespiders for me and my partner was able to set them all free in the garden using some cooking oil. I didn't like the idea of letting them die so being able to free the spiders was a bonus. The adhesive eventually looses its stick so I will have to re-purchase another 10pk for next year, which seems a bit much for £20. The large red and black branding isn't nice to see around your home. As SpiderTraps already has this niche product market dominated I would prefer it if if the branding on the product was made either smaller or more subtle. As a design and marketing specialist I can say you're probably not gaining much from having your logo printed bold and large under people's sofas, but you could make people think twice about repurchasing.Overall a recommended product with the potential to be humane and a great success rate.

If you have arachnophobia, this is a life saver
I never write any reviews even if I like a product but I just HAD TO make exception for this one.I have severe arachnophobia - constantly stressed about spiders, I can't clean some areas of my house without mental and physical support of my husband, can't sleep... and if god forbids I do see a spider (even on a photo) I immediately cry, shake and have panic attack episode that lasts hours to days!We recently moved into an old house in UK and I have experienced sheer shock at the giant spiders... I have never saw more vile, horrible spiders in my life and it made my arachnophobia even worse...This product was the only thing that saved my sanity...For first couple of weeks nothing caught on and I thought maybe it is a failure but then...I started seeing gigantic spiders being caught one by one... I think I saw at least 10 huge ones in span of one week. This trap will trap anything... The glue is extremely strong... my poor cat has stepped on it once and even after pouring water to try to get it out, it ended up with having to loose it's fur to get it out...Really do be careful around it because if your clothes or other animal get's stuck that is it.The design isn't aesthetic friendly but I usually put it under washing machine, fridge, furniture so you can't really see it.I use the triangle ones in some corners of house like laundry room and kitchen.I have noticed absolutely tons of spiders come out of fireplaces... I put 3 strips around my fireplace and at least 6 spiders caught there!I will be buying this product every single year and never stop. Did it help me to get exposed and helped with my arachnophobia? No... Unfortunately not BUT I am much happier and at ease knowing there are traps that work around my house... I highly recommend this product if you are desperate like me.

Do not work.
I bought three different makes of spider traps. See the rest of my reviews. This make did not catch a single spider. I am not connected to any of the products, I just really wanted to get rid of the spiders in my house and bought three different makes and put them round the house to see if any of them succeeded in catching spiders. These were also highly problematic with my cats. We could put them under things but we couldn't leave them lying around as they would just get stuck to the cats.

Word of Warning
I have a terrible and debilitating phobia of spiders, so my husband bought me this packet to soothe my frazzled nerves.I had bought some different traps that were like little triangles. I had seen them at William Morris' house in Kencott . The traps therein were stuffed with MASSIVE house spiders and I thought, if they are good enough for a Pre Raphaelite, they are good enough for me.I only ever caught one ( huge) spider in these, so I progressed to the Spidatrap .I was unimpressed by the fact that the spiders are so clearly visible, if caught ,and that, if placed along a skirting board, the sticky bit is not alongside the wall, thus enabling the spider to scuttle past .Also, they should be placed across a door threshold, according to my other half, and should also interlock to form a barrier. He warned me not to accidentally step on the traps and we left them in situ when we went away for the weekend. On our return, no spiders were in any of the traps, but later that night my husband stepped on one and it literally glued itself to his slipper, and had to be forcibly removed with all the strength a 17 stone man could muster. My concern is that , should a cat, dog or small mammal, tread on one of them , they would become superglued for evermore. It was also an extremely expensive way to catch 4.5 earwigs and an irate husband.
