Does the lid close?
My heart is broken! I was so looking forward to my granddaughter playing along, like her father, when he barbecues. My husband assembled the grill using the instructions on the side of the box but encountered an issue with the top rack and closing the lid. We are using the QR code to see if there is something we can do. I'll write more about how our experience went. UPDATE: We contacted Tozi through Amazon about this problem. When we attempted to close the toy grill a couple of parts broke. We informed Tozi of our experience with their product. We received a response in a short time. They thanked us for our patronage and seemed genuinely concerned about reaching a satisfactory result. They gave us a choice of a refund or a replacement of the whole grill (we asked to have the parts replaced). We really like the grill's features so we chose the replacement. It turns out that the grill will close but the top rack needs to be removed first. We can work with that. Tozi explained that they added the top rack to provide more "grilling" area, which is a good thing too. So we will see what my granddaughter prefers, more grilling space or being able to open and shut the grill.

Mini Grill Master
This kids' grill playset is perfect for little chefs in training. It comes with some smaller pieces, so just keep an eye on the tiny tots to avoid any munchkin mishaps. It’s a fun way for kids to play pretend and cook up imaginary meals, while you watch their creativity sizzle. Perfect for a backyard barbecue play session or indoor fun!

Skip it, very cheap, disappointing toy
Where to begin...this thing is very cheaply made and won't last long. It has a 2nd level cooking grill, but you can't close the lid if you have it attached, and since kids want to pretend to cook/close the lid, you basically can't use this 2nd rack. It was almost broken several times just while putting it together. There are also utensil hooks on the top of the lid that again, won't allow you to close the lid if they are attached. But, the cooking utensils only hang on these hooks, they don't even fit on the other 8 hooks that are on the sides of the tables, so you're out of luck if you want to close your grill and have somewhere to hang these. The eating utensils are flimsy and don't have hooks to hang anywhere. The steam is cool, but it leaves quite a bit of water on the underside of the pans when used just once, and all of the grilling foods have the small holes in them, so this toy and all the pieces are going to get mildewy fast. The steam also doesn't come out of the holes on the top of the grill when it's closed, which is disappointing. Though when you open the lid, it all comes out like a real grill. The 'lighter' has a battery compartment and a screw, making you think it needs batteries, but that is just pretend. I've seen other reviews mentioning they had to return it because it was missing parts/battery connections, but it is just a fake compartment, it works when the magnet touches the grill. The whole 'fake battery' thing makes no sense to me, because lighters don't have batteries, so ??? It would be helpful if this was actually mentioned in instructions, but it's pretty vague. It's incredibly loud and there's no volume button. It advertises being able to cut vegetables and hear a crunch, but there is literally only a single mushroom that can be cut open. We can't figure out what some of the food items are. The little balls that fit on the skewers-Maybe the white ones are onions? No idea. The steak is 1/3 the size of the large hotdog, not sure why there are 2 sizes of hotdogs. There are stickers for the bottles that make no sense: 'pepper' for a salt shaker; 'hot food' for a tea-kettle looking thing. I left them all off. It's incredibly small/short. My 4yo had to get on his knees to play with it.In all, this thing is definitely not worth it.

Just ok
Had missing pieces and bought for a birthday present so had to find stuff around the house to put it together . It’s a bit short for a 5 yr old .

Ok
Magnetic wand does not work. No batteries or magnet.

Hard Pass
I assume this grill was designed by a middle aged adult who's never had children. It doesn't matter how "fun" it is if it breaks within 10 minutes.Kids copy what adults do. We close the lids on our grills. This lid cannot be closed. My 5 year old broke the latches on the top rack while I was putting it together because she tried to close it. The plastic pins in the back will be next as they are already bend from the closing episode.I haven't bothered to put batteries in it to check the sound since it can't be closed. It will always have access to water from rain or the mister we run anytime we play on the patio.Too bad to much attention was spent on the "sounds" and none was spent on the quality of the product.Do not recommend for children who actually play with their toys.

Great for Role-Playing
The variety of barbecue ingredients and spatula included in this toy grill set have sparked my kids' imagination and creativity. They love pretending to be little chefs!
