Good for people with hearing or poor eyesight. A great help when talking to call centers because the speech can be slowed down.

I ordered this phone because it was set up for the digital charge over.I went for this model as it has an amplified ringing toneWhat I am really impressed with is the slow buttonThis slows the callers speech without distorting itWhich is a boon as so many call centres have agents that speak to fast or you can't understand what they are saying. Or Both.It is an expensive unit however it can be found on promotion if you can wait and look aroundTake your time,it is worth it.

It is clearly a very heavily built product. Seems all made etc. Software is obviously very earlier tech. Very slow to respond. Why on earth Panasonic of all people cannot update this antiquated set up I shall never know. As for the instruction book, they may just as well saved their money. Relies on numbered menus to operate, just what an 86 year old needs!!!! I guess the loudness functions are what it is all about. I am certain it will be useful for one of my age. Perhaps a newer more user friendly model will appear one day, until then what else can I use. Bearing in mind the cost of the item, under £100.00 what should I have really expected? It is indeed very loud and with flashing lights to match. I shall never miss any calls in future, so this is not a complaint, rather of disappointment with not getting a fully illustrated instruction book

Lots of features make setting up time consuming (70 page user manual), however, once set up the range of features come together to make a very good aid to telephone use. The amplification is great and flexible. Incoming speech can be slowed slightly ( we've all come across callers that babble). Visual cues are also useful.Basically, masses of selectable features to make this a great purchase for my elderly mum.Not cheap by any means but buy with confidence

Bought for elderly mother 91year old , car only hear for one ear with the aid of a hearing aid .Lights up for her to see, you need to fiddle about a bit to get the right tone for voice .and preser the volume , she has a amplified mobile , but great as a back up landline.Digital a plus , so she is very happy.

Am disappointed with this phone which claims to be very loud on maximum boost. However even with max boost and speaker on it seems no louder than my old BT phone so my search for a loud phone with clear undistorted speech continues

This is almost perfect for the older user. With large illuminated number buttons, large display text, a loud ringer, flashing lights, spoken announcements, and configurable volume boost. The only thing letting it down is the navigation control button, which is not illuminated and features quite small icons. This is used to access important functions like the Phone Book and Caller List and then navigate through these. The 4-way rocker button doubles as a directional control but is not marked as such. It is fiddly to operate if eyesight or dexterity is not the best. It is a shame that more thought wasn't given to this aspect of the design given that otherwise the phone has excellent accessibility features.
