So, I was looking for ways to minimise tumble drying during the cold weather to save on energy costs. And also I wanted to dry clothes quickly indoors. I purchase a heated air recently with cover which took 5-6 hours to dry a regular load excluding heavy bedding, but is still way cheaper than running the tumble. To speed up the drying process I decided to purchase a dehumidifier. I chose this model as it is cheap to run at about 4p per hour and also has good reviews. This de-humidifier (with my heated airer) dried a thick single duvet and it's cover in about over 3.5 hours. No damp patches. Just dry!! I rolled back the airer cover. Not sure if that was the best way, but I will experiment. The 2.5 litre water tank was a bit under half full approx. when finished. If the unit performed so well on a thick duvet, folded in half to get it on the airer, and a duvet cover similarly folded, I am confident that it will dry an ordinary load very quickly. Very pleased. Easy to empty water tank. Not too heavy. Has a carry handle. Clear instructions and easy to use. It comes with a free hepa filter which is optional and only needs to be fitted if you want to purify the air as well. I will keep this little gem and register for my free 5 year warranty.

Overall a fantastic product! I've had this dehumidifier for a month now and am very pleased with its performance so far. Ease of use: 4/5: very simple control panel with a day, night & laundry mode. Very easy to find tutorials to operate and use the dehumidifier online. Collection basket has a good capacity and it can run all night without becoming full - needs emptying every other day. Effectiveness: 5/5: dries clothes well & has proven effective at reducing the humidity in the house. Cost to use: 5/5: I have used this machine constantly over the last month & seen minimal increases to my energy bill. The dehumidifier has several clever tricks to avoid energy wastage, such as an automated timer & an ability to switch of the compressor when the air is dry. Clearly, these power-saving tricks work well! Value for money: 4/5: I purchased this for around £160, which is somewhat expensive but I think worthwhile if this device continues to work as well as it is currently working for a long time. Noise: 4/5: Makes a low hum that I don't mind but others might. The night mode is good for managing this. Overall: 5/5 - Provided you have the budget & don't mind emptying it regularly, I'd recommend this device highly.

Great de-humidifier, certainly lot better than my previous purchase which is sitting in the cupboard as they want it returned to china, even although ordered from a UK Company..well after that error, I did more in-depth research and came across this one, dont think I made any mistakes here..after many searches on many de-humidifiers this one stood out, granted a little more than most but it works perfect, I have it located upstairs and have no further concerns regarding humidity on my windows. There is 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and hallway with stairs, you can hear it at night but you get used to it, loss less quiter than previous which was only halgf the size. It's great that you can set the humidity levels, have a night mode which does make the fan go a little bit more silent, the light indicators can be swithced to night mode (Off) and the clotrhes assistant drying function is a great bonus, my clothes only take about a day to dry now as opposed to 2/3 and running is certainly a lot more cheaper that the tumble dryer which I gave away after getting this. So as you can probably tell I am pretty pleased with my purchase, such a pity I never came across this before purchasing the Dewett Dehumidifier, could have saved myself £138..cant even sell on e-bay at reduced price..anyway this was a great buy

This dehumidifier had exceeded my expectations. Laundry mode has speeded up clothes drying so much and completely removed damp feeling and smell even when there is no heating. Very easy to use.

Easy to use and is great at it's job as a dehumidifier. The day/night settings are a bonus but I still prefer a door between me and it at night. I'm surprised at how much water it is able to pull out of what I thought was a fairly dry home. It also makes a decent air purifier too with high volume throughput. Anyway, the catch and this is a big one, if you want to use it as an air purifier, there is a HEPA filter included. These filters should be replaced at 3 month intervals but yes, you guessed it, you can't get them as the Arete One has a smaller filter that the regular 12L model so you can't find them on Amazon or the Meaco website. I thought that this wouldn't be a problem, they are just temporarily out of stock and will have more in shortly. 3 months later, still no filters. If I had known this would have been an issue, I would have exchanged this months ago for another model with a more standard filter. Until their supply issue (also the filters are nearly double the price of the other HEPA filters) is sorted, I can't recommend this item as it is only doing half it's job now. I'll move the review up to 4 stars now as the filters are back in stock (they notified me via e-mail and I snapped up a 3 pack) and they reduced the price to match the other filters. I would consider 5 stars if in 9 months time, the filters are still in stock. It is currently on loan to a friend who was dealing with a burst pipe and he is getting the same great performance I was getting.

Very effective and it is very quiet. I have only used the dehumidifier function and am very pleased how quickly it reduces the humidity in my 2 bedroom apartment.

This arrived assembled ready to use. The Handle is clearly marked and pulls up and can be pushed in again for storage. The filter cover comes off easily and the filter provided slides in the black cover which pulls off to the left, the then it can all be slid back in place. You don’t have to use the filter, it is used for air purification. It runs a bit quieter without the filter. I left the filter in because it can collect dust, dust mites etc. The filter can be taken out & hoovered with a soft brush hoover attachment. Easy to use buttons on the top which light up with a simple push. . I used it first in dampish bedroom & it sucked up loads of moisture. The water tank has a window to show the level of water. It will turn off when full. The tank simply slides out and can be tipped in the sink to empty. It then slides back in and push. There is an attachment for a hose if you want to keep it on constantly. There is a button for using it if you are drying WASHING in the house. It will give an extra boost to collect the moisture in the room where the washing is drying. There is a button for night time where the lights go off and it runs at a lower speed so is very quiet. Every time I’ve used it, it has collected moisture. Easy to use, I recommend it.

I absolutely love this dehumidifier. I have been using this since near the end of last month. Easy to use. Easy to empty. Easy to move to another room if needed. Looks smart. I have it on the landing upstairs so that it helps to reduce moisture up there. I keep two doors open to other rooms where I want this to work. As these have been the problem rooms. I notice now how I hardly get any condensation on my bedroom, to not at all. So, I am seeing the benefits in the time I have used this. I have bought this to use in the winter months because that's when I will need to use it. It's not noisy. Perfect for home. I recommend.

Avevo un problema di umidità importante, questo è un ottimo prodotto mi sta aiutando molto a mantenere l’aria alla giusta umidità. Poco rumore e consumi ridotti. Per il momento lo sto usando svuotando il serbatoio ma ha anche la possibilità di mettere un tubicino di scarico(comprandolo a parte) credo che lo metterò più avanti.

Ottimo, eccellente, di grande qualità ed efficace. Lo sto provando ormai da circa due mesi e riscontro riduzione effettiva dell' umidità (all' inizio va tenuto acceso per molte ore in ogni stanza, dipende dal grado di umidità e dalle dimensioni della stanza, ma in media sei ore al giorno), poi gradualmente si assiste ad un miglioramento in quanto si abbassa il livello di umidità fino a diventare ottimale. Una volta raggiunto il livello che non permette la rinqacita di muffe (tra il 50% e il 55% di umidità in media), basta accenderlo un' oretta al giorno in ogni stanza. Il filtro hepa inoltre rende l' aria più piacevole da respirare. Gli effetti non sono immediati, ma graduali.

Chiedo informazioni a qualcuno riguardo il display non scende come temperatura al di sotto di 64 gradi se imposto la temperatura a 65 gradi non si spegne quando arriva a temperatura è normale?il problema dell'umidità non posso dire niente risolto il problema qualcuno sa darmi qualche informazione in merito grazie mille in anticipo
