JNW Direct pH Test Strips for Urine and Saliva - 150 Litmus Paper Strips

Exactly as described and pictured. These strips are very easy to use and read/interpret so they are very useful if you are looking to check, test, and validate the ph/acidity of something quickly. The results were apparent very quickly so you don’t have to wait very long to view. The stops are small so just be aware of that.

I cannot confirm the accuracy via a calibrated electronic pH meter but these test strips are excellent in providing an easy visual pH reading to within 0.25 or greater. The two-test pad method removed the ambiguity associated with trying to judge the color of a single test pad. One note probably true of many test strips is that the accuracy of one of the reagents is low at the extreme end of the scale. At the extremes, you will end up relying on one test pad or the other but at those points -- pH 4.5 or 9.0 -- you would probably want to take other measures anyway.

Comes in a small bottle so it’s easy to store. Bottle is easy to open and the ph sticks are simple to use. Pour desired liquid on them and it gives a result within 30 seconds. The chart is pretty easy to use and understand. My only complaint is the ph side faces up so it is important not to have wet fingers when reaching in as to not activate any of the other sticks.

The color scale could be brighter but they seem accurate. It's not always easy to decide on which hue matches the scale. It reads acidity or alkalinity . It says not for pool or drinking water testing.

I got these ph testing strips to help narrow down when my mare was ready to foal. The ph level of her colostrum should start above 7.5-8.5 in the days prior to labor, then drop to sub 7-6.5 within about 12 hours of foaling. This has given me a lot of peace of mind, knowing I don't have to start worrying too much (and sleeping in the barn for days) unnecessarily! I have found these test strips reasonably accurate and consistent. Yes, they DO come with color already visible on the strips, they just change color after you put your test material on the two reaction boxes on the strip. I've seen reviews complaining that they arrived already colored. It's fine. The color will change! They aren't supposed to arrive with the test boxes invisible. No problems with these strips and no complaints!

These pH test strips are easy to use and come with plenty of strips for the price. Results are quick, and the included guide is helpful. However, the color chart can be difficult to read, making it hard to determine an exact pH level. Overall, they’re decent for general testing but not ideal if you need high accuracy.
