Not the best series of Roseanne. Not much happening in the early part of the series. Becky and Mark's relationship moves on a notch but after an entertaining episode with Roseanne and Jackie giving Becky moral support at the birth control clinic, the writers don't really focus on this much. Darlene mopes in true teenage style but her character lacks any spark this season and the writers don't seem to know what to do with her so she just sits around on the sofa spitting out the occasional abusive and unfunny comment to family members. DJ hardly seems to appear at all. Jackie gets a new job as a trucker but this doesn't seem to inspire any new storylines. It all gets a tad boring although there are some sparks of comic genius from time to time. Not sure what happened to the writing in season 4 but it all seems a bit flat.

For fans of true to life comedy that is funny and informative Roseanne 4 is worth a try. This series visits areas of family life where even brave shows like the Simpsons fear to tread. The tightly written scripts make the most of the wonderful chemistry that developed between cast members. For any Big Bang Theory fans you may like to see who David turned into.

Arrived on time however, two of the discs only play 3 of the 6 episodes.

A usual Roseanne is brilliant! Bought the German version with English language because its cheaper. Doesn't. Make much difference apart from the episode title being on German.

Pressed play on the main menu then went to The Cosby Show??Pressed that then went to German Subtitles??2nd CD kept jumping as it was scratched,Poor quality and not as described in original post,Total rubbish,,,

have just sent a review in about Roseanne series 3 being in german. series 4 which I am reviewing now. isn't in german, but it looks like it could be in dutch.

Cannot get my head around the sale of foreign speaking dvds on the U.K. Amazon site. I know foreign speaking people live in the U.K. but I would like the descriptions of these products clearly marked that you cannot watch them in the English language at all.
