Great hiking shorts by Mivei with four pockets and a front center seam
The black size medium over knee length hiking shorts by Mivei are made in PRC (china). The hiking leggings are made with a 80% polyester and 20% spandex material. The material has a cool, slick feel and is thick. I did not find any flaws with the fabric or stitching out of the bag. The medium size has about a 14 1/4 inch inseam. The medium size fits me snug for my size 8 frame. I love the leg openings, as they are stretchy and still comfortable right below my knees. These are great hiking shorts, and don't snag every prickly you walk by and I like how they look. They are comfortable for all day wear and show nothing when I bent over. There are four pockets, a zippered and velcro one on each side. These shorts are quick dry, and served me well on a summer canoe trip. There is even a drawstring to adjust the waist so it stays in place.5 stars

Great pair of capris for petite women, long hiking shorts for taller women. Very comfortable.
I love these long shorts/capris because they actually fit me as capris. I'm 5'2", and that rarely happens, so I'm very happy with these. These are well made, craftsmanship appears excellent - no loose threads or baggy seams - and fit is true to size. These are a little tighter than your usual capris, so if you want to size up that's a choice. These capris have a high waistband, a 15" inseam, and pockets all over the place: two deep pockets on the front, one with additional zipper pocket, and two zippered side security pockets on each side, big enough to put your cell phone, keys and anything else you might want to carry with you. The yoga waistband has an adjustable drawstring inside the pants.I love the tapered fit of these long hiking shorts/capris, and they're very flattering. They have great four-way stretch and are made of 90% polyester and 10% Spandex, so you can see where they get their stretch. These are machine washable, but they don't go in the dryer.I would definitely highly recommend these hiking shorts/capris to anyone, especially petite women, because petite capris are hard to find. Fit is snug, and I ordered one size up and am glad I did. I love all the pockets on these pants, and the fact that they're capris is wonderful for me, because I'm short. These would be great hiking shorts because they have lots of stretch and would let you move easily. If you're petite, you will definitely want to give these pants a serious look, and if you aren't petite you will want to look at them as long shorts. Excellent product.

Very comfortable, weird pockets
These pants/shorts are very comfortable. The run small, or snug is probably a more accurate term. They have enough very comfortable stretch that they could fit a range of sizes, but they are a very fitted design. They are somewhat breathable, but not entirely. It's a good balance between breathability and opaqueness- you can't see through them. They are comfortable and you can move quite freely while wearing them. As a short person, these reach just below my knee. The pockets are my only concern. They are a bit awkward. They are quite low, and none of them are easy to get a phone in or out of. Two pockets on the side of each leg, but they are on top of each other so they get extremely bulky if you had to put something in both, and with how nice and stretchy the material is, anything with any weight in the pockets will just sag.Overall, these are some of the most comfortable shorts I have ever worn, but plan on using something else if you need to carry any items.

Super comfortable. Weird pockets.
These hiking shorts are super comfy! I got a medium and it’s a bit larger … which is odd so I’d say if you are wavering on the size, size down. It’s super stretchy material. My only gripe with these is the placement of the pockets. Yoga pants everywhere have perfected the phone pocket, and yet, hiking shorts/pants makers can’t seem to get it. These pants have a zippered pocket, then a velcro pocket, which is nice in theory but can’t I just have a pocket to slip my phone in and out of? Yes, it’s more secure with a closure…so give me ONE closed and ONE open! Then both pockets are a bit low. If I put my phone in the lower velcro pocket, it sags against the lower part of my thigh, instead of being against the strong part. (And the pocket isn’t tight enough to hold it steady.) The upper pocket is slightly better but still not quite high enough.Last, the pockets overlap. I don’t know why. I mean, I guess you could then put taller things in both, but why would you do that? It just means if I do put my phone in the lower and my keys in the upper, they’ll crash into each other. But there are pockets on both legs. So I can split up the phone/keys.I know that’s a long paragraph of gripe but I still really like these shorts as hiking shorts. They fall right below my knees which I like to protect my knees and also it looks better. Yes, they look pretty nice. The material breaths well. (Although tissues in the pocket do get a little humid.) And, as advertised, the fabric is thick enough I CAN WEAR BLACK UNDERWEAR and it doesn’t show through. Another think hiking-clothing companies just don’t seem to ‘get’.

Love these, very comfortable!
These are some great shorts! The material is thicker than I expected and very soft. Sturdy stitching, lots of cell-phone ready pockets (and the side pockets land right on the side of your leg, not too much in front or too much on the back of your leg). The waistband is wide and very stretchy. I chose a large, rather than my usual medium, because I don't like the tight fit of compression shorts, and these fit great. Not tight, but not baggy - just gently snug. The only little, tiny, minor annoyance, is the velcro closures - they have the sharp, pointy corners, that kind of stick out a little bit (I will round off the corners with a pair of scissors). You can roll up the legs if you want a shorter look, and they actually stayed rolled up! The color was just as in the picture - bring on the warmer weather!!
