Great spice

Never tried this before
This adds an element to my cooking that i was definitely not prepared for. I'd never used or even heard of sumac until I bought it. Didn't know how to use it or what type of dishes it was for. Still dont really to be honest. Trial and error and so forth. Added it to some fried tomatoes, onions and peppers and the flavour was lovely. A very pleasant, almost lemon citrussy kind of flavour burst forth. But not sweet. It's hard to describe. Maybe like a savoury citrus twang that really brought the flavours of the pan alive. Definitely going to be used. This is going to be like my new tumeric that I couldn't stop using after leading my sheltered basic spice life for so long!! Plus you get so much! and it arrived very quickly too. Definitely worth a go

Really Good taste but how much salt in it? Wish they write the percentage or Mg down as not everyone can eat salt

Does contain salt but has an excellent flavour sprinkled on kofta and similar. Pleased to be buying Palestinian too.

This is promoted as 100% pure sumac. It has 3% added salt so that’s false claims. Be honest.
