These strips are not the same width the length. Starts out 1/2 inch one end and 1/4 inch the other end. I feel scammed. I will return.

They melted everywhere. When I used it in the binding machine, the smell made me sick.

In getting acquainted with bookbinding, I saw an opportunity to try these affordable thermal glue strips and jumped at it. So far, it seems like these really do what they're meant! But you aren't going to get any help unless your phone has a translation app. Pros: Simple packaging meaning minimal waste. Solid product quality—seriously thick glue strips, and the webbing/meshed back translates to strength. There are little adhesive tabs that allow for initial pre-melt adhesion too, which is thoughtful. Cons: The packaging doubles as directions, which is entirely in Chinese. This is kind of low-hanging fruit at this point—even poorly auto-translated instructions would make this feel a bit more consumer-minded. I've shared what seems like the most salient portion of the instructions, translated to English. In short, from what I've found so far, the lack of immediately usable instructions amounts to the only downside to this product—so even for four stars, it's a strong four stars! Once the printed instruction sheet is updated with three or four languages, this product is easily five stars.

Don't do book binding, but I saw these and I was inspired. I make print and play games. Essentially I make my own board games and some games require a large folding board. The board is very similar to a two page book (two thicker pages) - so I decided to give these a try. Took a bit of fiddling and some trial and error, but I did get it to work. It does make a better board hinge than just using tape, which is what I was using before. Seems to make a secure hinge that can handle plenty of flexing. The hobby of making board games usually involves taking items and using them in an unintended way - and this was such a case.
