The Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible: KJV Edition, Black Genuine Leather Thumb-Indexed

I've only had this KJV Key Word Study Bible for a couple of days, but I already realize its tremendous value to my study of God's Word. I purchased the black genuine leather, non-indexed edition based on personal preferences. Right out of the box, I applied three applications of a leather conditioner to soften and protect the leather. I do this with all my leather and bonded leather bibles. It has served me well over the years. I included a link to the product I used: Bickmore Bick 4 Leather Conditioner 8 Ounces Contrary to several other reviewers here, I love the paper used in this bible. It's the way bible paper used to be before publishers recently began switching to cheaper, newsprint that I find much harder to read because it's no longer bright white, but rather a cream or buff color. This bible uses white paper, which is imperative for letter clarity, in my opinion. With respect to being on the thin side, as long as you use a ballpoint pen or lead pencil to write your own comments in the margins you will be fine. You can also use a smooth gel highlighter with no major bleed through issues using moderate pressure. I hope they don't change the paper used in this bible! PROS: *I love having the Strong's Dictionary and AMG's excellent Complete Word Study Dictionaries readily accessible within my bible *The dictionary numbering system is readily explained and very understandable in the first few pages of the Book *The special features of this bible are also detailed in the first few pages *I especially appreciate the Grammatical Notations explanations starting on page 1585, e.g. Active Voice, Aorist Subjunctive, Optative Mood, etc. This is so invaluable to comprehending the true context of usage, intent and conversation in the Word of God. *The binding is sewn - a huge plus for longevity under heavy use *Gold gilt is excellent *Two dedicated, blank Notes pages at back of bible (front and back of one piece of paper) *Paper is good quality bible paper as was typical of bibles published prior to this century. Also, it's actually white, which makes for a good contrast to both black and red inks used within its pages. The red ink is red - not pink, orange or burgundy. *My shipment included a handy bookmark with a quick reference of the Grammatical Codes to the Grammatical Notations used in this bible (see photo). CONS: *The quality of genuine leather is not the best and rather stiff right out of the box; however it's softening more and more as I apply a good quality leather conditioner (see link above for the one I'm using). (Also see provided photos of how the bible lays open on my hand after 3 applications of conditioner.) *Only one, narrow ribbon included *End papers are glued, not stitched; but a decent thickness; this is a bible I will be very willing to invest in a new, top quality rebinding if or when the need arises years from now! SUMMARY: This study bible is a treasure for the Berean-minded student of God's written word. I highly recommend it and strongly encourage you to buy one!

Amazing bible

This is a great Key Word Study Bible. It’s has a in-depth summary of studies of Biblical history that is very useful for understanding how Biblical life is lived.

A month in so far and it’s my go-to to read or study from. The Bible’s quality exceeds its price and its unique study tools are helpful. It’s not going to be as comprehensive as blue letter but it still helps dramatically when reading even with just key words. I personally prefer tabs and I added an extra one to separate the Greek and Hebrew definitions.

This is a beautiful Bible and very nicely made, with a quality brown goat skin leather cover. I am doing major work in the scriptures, and an in-depth key-word study. I appreciate the Strongs listings, and footnotes all in one place. It IS easier to have a separate Strongs beside the Bible as I study, however, this Bible allows me to do my study when I don't have a table to work in the Strongs and other references at the same time. I have a need for more ribbons, and I will have to buy these separately. I have to go back and forth to the back of the Bible to look up words, and to other scriptures that have the same words and phrases, and need more ribbons for marking my places. The publisher should consider, perhaps, adding four ribbons, instead of just two for regular user reading and study. Thus far, the paper used for the pages is somewhat difficult becuase it is so thin, and the pages do stick together. I have to blow on them to carefully separate the pages. It is possible that as I work in this Bible, it will get "broken in," and the pages will be easier to turn, as time goes on, but I have never had a Bible with such thin pages. I will have to be very careful as I work on my study. With the thin pages, it is more difficult to turn to the book I am looking for because the pages are so thin and don't separate very well without wrinkling, etc. If I had known this, I would have gotten one with tabs, but I have never had need of tabs before in other Bibles I have had. Tabs would help to more quickly reach the desired books without having to deal with the thin paper, and pages sticking together. This slows down my study quite a bit, so if you are doing study, you may want to consider getting one with the cut out tabs. Just FYI, the pages being so thin will not facilitate aftermarket tabs either, if you normally use such things on your Bibles. Also regarding the thin pages; I have not done any writing or highlighting yet in this Bible, but I have purchased gel bible highlighters and fine tipped pens for writing my notes. Hopefully that works out okay. I've never had to have a special highlighter pen in other Bibles I have had. If you've been looking at Bibles, and looking at this one; I say go for it! It isn't perfect, but it's nicer than others I have looked at and purchased, and has some good study tools as well!

Excellent Bible for studying. Many words that are in English have several meanings in Hebrew or Greek. For instance, there are around twenty Hebrew words that are translated into the single English word “sin”. Using this Bible allows you to see which word in either Hebrew or Greek is referenced in the context. This is the third version of this Bible I now own!

some pages are very good, but some other pages are so bad quality, and there is also issues with the sewing, and also the commentary is not so good, the dictionary does not explain every word that need to be explained, like isaiah 14:12, wich the kjv uses Lucifer wich is not found in the hebrew text, there is no explanation that Lucifer is not Satan, too much hidden truth in this Bible, definitely it is not a full study Bible with dictionary, the smell is so good and the leather is good also, but paper quality is terrible. but some pages look very nice.
