I finished the story in about 3-4 days. I thought the book was quite interesting and distinct from other romantic drama stories. Although the story seemed unrealistic to me, I found the content to be engaging. The plot was okayish for me, as if it were written for a romantic drama film with masala and twists. The emotional aspects of the story have worked well for me. So, overall, the novel is well-written. If you enjoy romantic novels and are not concerned about their unrealistic nature, then this is a must-read.

English version does have the feel of malayalam version. Better to read malayalam.

When I first picked up Ram C/O Anandhi, I had no idea what to expect. I hadn’t heard of Akhil P. Dharmajan before, and to be honest, I ordered this book mainly because it showed “Next Day Delivery,” and I was left with nothing else to read. As I started reading, the story began at a slow pace — the buildup in the first few chapters felt gradual — but soon it unfolded into something truly engaging. It had everything: suspense, humor, emotion, unsaid love, affection, elderly warmth, sadness, family drama, and much more. The characters were beautifully crafted and diverse. From Vetri, Reshma, Patti, and Malli to Ram and Anandhi — each one stood out with distinct traits and personalities. However, the love and affection between Ram and Anandhi didn’t get enough space to grow. Their bond felt underdeveloped, and the sudden turn with Anandhi’s diary made it difficult to fully feel their connection. On the other hand, the relationship between Ram and Malli had more depth and emotional buildup, making Malli’s murder and Ram’s heartbreak truly moving. Overall, Ram C/O Anandhi is an extremely well-written, movie-like fiction novel with strong characters and a compelling storyline — just slightly lacking in the exploration of its central love story. ⭐ Rating: 8/10
