Great telescope for any beginner!
This Aurosports telescope is perfect for kids and beginner astronomers of all ages. The telescope comes with a variety of useful accessories including a black carrying case, a tripod with adjustable heights, a universal phone adapter, two replaceable eyepieces (25mm and 10mm) and a 3X Barlow lens (increases the magnifying power of the eyepieces). The instructions that were included were clear and assembling the telescope was easy and took about 10 minutes. I had some trouble with using the telescope, but the customer service was excellent and they were able to help me sort out the minor issue that I had with viewing images through the eyepiece. I was really impressed with how clear the images through the telescope looked, and it was easy to change the position of the telescope using the control lever. The telescope is also very lightweight and easy to move around. The 3 year warranty is also a huge bonus, since I plan on using this telescope for many years. I look forward to observing the moon, stars, and other celestial objects using this telescope!

Nice Versatile Telescope
This telescope is great for casual astronomy for kids as well as adults. It is easy to set up and use. Both the lenses provided are producing very clear images. Zoom is smooth and seamless. Tripod provided was stable and holding the telescope well balanced. Phone adapter is easy to setup and properly positioned to capture clear images. My initial moon gazing was crisp and excellent. Overall it is a very good telescope.

Great entry level telescope for the price
I've been meaning to get a scope like this for a while, after repeatedly checking out the telescope kit from the New York Public Library several times (yay educational funding!). This is pretty similar to the kit they lend, the Celestron traveler's telescope, but there are some nice features this one has. Here's what you can see from a rooftop in NYC, one of the least-ideal stargazing spots in our country: Jupiter and the Galilean moons, Saturn and its rings, great crater detail on our moon (particularly on half-moon or crescent nights), and I am hoping to be able to make out the polar caps on Mars but I'm guessing that will be tough. One night when the air was just right and there was no wind (more on that in a sec), I could juuuuust make out the bands of clouds on Jupiter.I've tried a couple times to spot things you can't really see with the naked eye, mainly the Andromeda Galaxy and Uranus. I don't have a ton of experience doing that so I don't know if my failure was mine alone or whether those things just can't be seen with this scope in a big city, but if you're in a darker area that's something you should definitely be able to see with more detail on this telescope and with some practice. One very nice little feature this kit has is an eyepiece holder that screws into the tripod once you've set it up, so you don't have to dig around in the bag in the dark for your different focal lengths. There's also a phone attachment so you can set your camera up to look through the telescope and take a picture. I did this successfully during the day when I was testing it, but I haven't tried it at night yet.Something you should be aware of, which I assume is common with telescopes in this price range, is that the tripod is very sensitive to any kind of movements, especially wind. So if you're focused in on something small and distant like a planet and the wind blows, you just have to wait. You also need to prep children before showing them something through the telescope because their natural impulse is to just grab the thing and shove their face into the eyepiece, which would probably be a challenge on any telescope but definitely throws this one off.I have found the finder scope very difficult to calibrate and use, but I've gotten good at just sighting the main telescope without it so I don't even knock any points off for that. My only complaint so far is that the Barlow lens they include for an additional 3x magnification is pretty rudimentary and seems to blur the image quite a bit.Overall this is a good value for the money and a good introductory telescope. I can tell this is going to be an expensive hobby because I'm already planning what my "level up" telescope would be.
