This was a good and entertaining toy while it lasted but unfortunately it didn’t take long for some gentle play to put the lights out on this toy, some sort of hard landing I suppose. The outer shell is intact but since it is soft and pliable it didn’t fully protect the LED strip. It still ‘flies’ though it never did truly hover. For the price at the time of this review (£20) I’d have expected a more durable product.

These types of flying orbs have been around a while and looked good fun, so I was pleased to get one to review. It comes nicely presented in a box so ideal for gifting. The red shing ball looks good, lights are good but scared me first time I started it up. The motor rotates at a fair speed, creating noise as it does. The instructions are fairly easy to read, shame you have to buy a magic wand for some of the tricks - they don't tell you that when you buy one.Make sure you have the orange button (not mentioned in the instructions) handy as mine would not stop no matter how much I shook it; I almost put it in another room to wear the battery down out of ear shot.Did it levitate off my hand? Sort of on full charge but it just wanted to fly around not stay there.Did it boomerang back? Not quite, but not so far offWas it fun trying? YesClear your valuables as it can be a bit unpredictable in its orbit. Light weight, doesn't harm any surfaces, terrifies my cat.Priced at £20 at the time of this review but Microsoft shopping was offering £10 off!
