I've dealt with the "quick fix" AC cans in the past with mixed results. I was stoked to get this, and it's mechanic-level. It feels sturdy, but I'm using it on one or two cars a year, so it's not getting the mechanic use or abuse. So far, so good for my needs though.

I have several tools from Orion Motor Tech and am never let down. This gauge set has the same high-quality look and feel, performs very well, and has an equally high-quality case. The fittings are snug, hold pressure, and vacuum as well are the hoses. All knobs are easy to turn and feel solid. Hoses are not hard and stiff nor are they super soft and gummy.

This looks like a pretty awesome kit, the only thing is, I assumed it would work on other systems and quickly realized I was wrong. I will find someway to retrofit this so that it’ll work for me.

I bought this thinking I could use it currently for R134a x2 systems and future proof for next time I service a possible R1234yf. Wrong. The Low service port connection is R1234yf only. Possibly the high too. Also the can tap (yellow hose) is R1234yf only. So I bought some other R134 service port connections for like 12 bucks but now I need the can tap. What a headache! all from this misleading product description. ugghhhh

Because you need to "get it right" using this type of equipment, I did a side-by-side test... this unit against my name brand unit. They read identical in that range. But these gauges have more ranges than my original, and I guess at this point I'll trust those reading will be good too. The box is better than my other, and taking it down makes sure you clear the lines. Good set!

Adapter set came nicely packaged, but the description says it works with R134a and it doesn’t. The included adapters didn’t work.

I have a few manifold gauges and these work just as well as my big name truck bought ones. Quick setup and easy to read. Calibrated close enough for automotive jobs. My favorite part is no leaks from the hoses after multiple uses.

The fact that the manufacturer mentions R134a in the description is a little misleading. You can use this kit on those systems, but you'll have to get a couple adapters which are luckily not expensive. This kit works great, but is by default made for R1234yf automotive systems, which are in many modern cars nowadays.
