Gets the job done without any issues! Build Quality: Fairly Good Accessory has acceptable build quality: ports line up nicely and connect firmly, no rough plastic edges, etc. Charging speed: 5W Max (If I see it charge faster in the future, I'll update this review) I wasn't able to get above 5 watts of charging power through this adapter. Which, while dissapointing, is not necessarily a deal breaker for me. Simply having the ability to charge from a lightning cable is a huge bonus, and I had a feeling it wouldn't be able to fast charge in the first place due to the plug conversion going on. Overall: I'd recommend due to the convenience of being able to charge your usb-c device from a lightning cable, especially for the price!

It seems like most negative reviews misunderstand what its limitations are, so let's talk about them now: - It cannot transfer data including sound, apps, or photos. This is strictly for powering and charging. - It can charge devices similar to the power needs of an iPhone, since that is what Lightning is designed for. You're probably not going to be able to charge a laptop with this. - The power adapter you are plugging into the wall plays a big role. If you have a crappy one or one that outputs very little energy, your USB-C device may not be getting enough power and will not charge. - The cord you are using counts too. Using a crappy one will likely not be reliable enough to power your USB-C device. I hope this helps and thank you to those who made this!

For some context, I am an executive, own many tech gadgets, and rarely write reviews... I usually don't have the time, or, more honestly, I have other things I would rather be doing. I always appreciate those that do. I give reviews more weight when I have some background about who is writing them. Like you, I purchased this item because of the number of generally positive reviews and reasonable price. I bought it because I upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it now uses USC-C instead of the Apple Lightning cords. I have a spaghetti-like collection of old cords in a drawer that I'd like to get some use out of instead of throwing them in the trash, better for the environment, etc. In case you are wondering, yes, I can read and understand that they only charge and are not designed to transfer data. I typically pay the Apple tax because I know their products work, are well-designed, and I don't have to screw around with cheap junk. Every once in a while when life becomes monotonous, I like to go wild and test my luck. Suppose you need some excitement and are looking for a product that works just until the return period is over; you enjoy buying from a company that doesn't state a warranty and has a customer service department that won't respond to multiple emails. In that case, this is THE connector to purchase. One of the two connectors quit working just after 30 days... Just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I fully understand that when mass-producing these types of items, manufacturing problems happen. They are working on volume. Just send the customer a new item, it's only $6 for Peat's sake, and protect your reputation. I'm sure this will be yet another company that disappears from Amazon in a few months or renames its dropship company and sells under another name. If you feel like rolling the dice, go for it. Here I come Apple's $30 dongle.

Great product

This works fine, but I bought it because my husband and I have an iPhone/Android and so when we drive each other's cars, someone is always unplugging someone else's cord. I bought a USB cord with a lightning adapter and that didn't work - it charges but will not be recognized for Apple play. So I bought this to give it a try and had the same experience - the adapter will charge my Android phone but the car will not recognize my phone for Android play. Bummer.
