The Pride of Polly Perkins: A touching family saga of love, tragedy and hope

Enjoyed this mix of the poorest of poor people mixing with wealthy people. Each learning life lessons from each other. Light hearted but also shocking to find out that people were separated from their families for years because of consumption. Polly required to take adult responsibilities before she was mature enough.

I absolutely love my Kindle and I have recommended it to a lot of my friends I have also told them to read the books that i have read I just love my Kindle

Could'nt wait to go to bed at night just to read the book , loved it , loved all the characters

In the days when you had to work for everything or you would have a hard life. Trying to live with not a lot of money . So I would say that you would enjoy this book and that was why I have given it five-star s . So thank you it was a good read and you would enjoy it too

When her Dad gets seriously ill, young Polly has to find a job to support her Mother and her little brother, as the family is very poor. How Polly and her family master all the obstacles thrown in their way, make new friends and resist temptations is told with masterful skill, lots of humour and compassion.Love this author's books.
