Provides various ports & hard drive all in one
Purchased this to use with a early 2020 MacBook Air. The Air only has two USB C/Thunderbolt ports so this device provides additional ports for USB A, ethernet, HDMI and a USC C plus the ability to have an NVMe SSD drive all in the same case. Been using it for couple of weeks now and all ports perform as expected. For the SSD drive I used a WD SN750 500gb drive for the testing. My read and write speeds were 400-430 MBytes/s, which is very workable. With this external NVMe SSD drive I was able to move my documents , pictures, movies and download folders to this external drive. Doing this can same you room on the internal SSD if it is lacking space. The only issue I have is with the end plates on the device enclosure, they are plastic, should be made of the same material the rest of the case is made of. All in all I would recommend this to anyone, especially if your internal hard drive is small in size and you need additional room for storage and you can not or do not want to replace the internal drive.

Thunderbolt 3 port replicator I have been looking for at a reasonable price.
After upgrading my MacBook Pro to a 2017 model which only has Thunderbolt 3 ports on it I wanted a desktop dock that would allow me to utilize that performance port and not make me purchase a bunch of adapters to do it. IF you have a Thunderbolt laptop and have looked at these docking stations you know they aren't cheap! After much research and testing I settled on the Nekteck Thunderbolt 3 Dock. With one cable I now have access to 5 USB A ports, a Thunderbolt 3 port compatible with USB C, HDMI, and and audio port plus it charges my laptop while it is plugged in. Having a USB A port on the front of the dock is nice for quick charging of my devices and I use an adapter to connect my eSata devices to the Thunderbolt port, my drives now transfer data at their rated speed, very nice. Being able to leave my other drives, monitor, etc hooked up at my desk and just unplug one cable and walk away with my laptop is great and when I return I just plug that one cable back in and the dock reconnects everything in just a few seconds with out any intervention on my part. On some other Thunderbolt 3 docks I tested I had to open my laptop and login before they would reconnect which was very annoying. My laptop is always ready to go because of the PD port charging it is while connected to the Nekteck. All of these reasons really bring out the convenience of the Thunderbolt 3 port. I am very happy with the device and have had problems with this unit. However this is my second device as the original one I when I ordered it from Amazon had an issue with the network port being detected. A quick email to the VERY responsive Tech Support resulted in some fast troubleshoot tests and a determination that the port was indeed bad and I requested a replacement which arrived in short order. This unit has performed flawlessly and the Nekteck support said this was the first time they had run across that problem. The support was great, very clear instructions, very fast response to my questions and requests. I felt they were invested in the support of the product and did a great job of making me a satisfied customer. You don't find that often any more.I would definitely recommend the Nekteck Thunderbolt 3 Dock for Mac's to anyone who is looking for an easy to implement dock that provides the ports I was looking for the most - USB A support for my legacy devices, a Thunderbolt 3 port to connect additional devices to, Gigabyte ethernet, HDMI and an audio connection all with one cable AND it charges my laptop! Great customer support is another selling point, so many companies just don't do that anymore it is great to buy products from someone who stands behind their warranties.I have not been paid to do this or receiving any endorsements for this review. This is solely my opinion on the product.

Finally a TB3 dock that plays nice with hibernate on macbook air 2020
I went through three other docking stations before I found this one. Each one had issues of some sort...either the video wouldn't connect, or some ports didn't work, or every time my laptop went to sleep I had to switch ports when I woke it up. This one just works. Loses one star due to not having another usbc port on it like the others I tried, it just has one for the laptop and one for another device.

Does not work out of the box
The product does not include thunderbolt 3 cable, just a usb-c. So you have to buy one and that makes the product a 30% more expensive than expected.

Good Thunderbolt 3 hub with a reasonable price
Almost one month with the product and very happy with its functionality. Using with a MacBook Pro 2020, which has this hub and a egpu in the 2 TB3 ports. In the Hub, I have connected HDMI to a second monitor (primary monitor connected to egpu through DisplayPort), TB3 SSD drive, Ethernet, and several USB devices (Webcam, wired gaming mouse, a second USB SSD drive). No connection problems so far, and very reliable. And the best is that the price is half the other alternatives for Thunderbolt 3 hubs.Pretty happy with the purchase.

Will NOT work with Razer Blade Stealth laptops.
Will not do passthrough charging to my 2017 Razer Blade Stealth. Causes connected monitors to flicker. Ensured that the laptop had fully updated OS, drivers and bios.I made this review specifically for folks who own a Razer Blade laptop needing a docking station with charging. This doesn't fit the bill.

eGPU attachable. good works. This is What I need.
Good works with eGPU to my laptop PD Supplying. if have only A Thunderbolt Port, this is great item. Reasonable price among supporting TB3This can't be used as hub for TB3, just do as additional PD Supplier if you only need Thunderbolt 3. but if you have only one TB3 port, and it's used to charging Host and connecting a TB3 device, this is maybe cheapest choice If you think about other items starting at $299. and you get a bonus ports!

Very complete set of features at a reasonable price.
I had tried several $250+ Thunderbolt 3 docks, but was unhappy with their performance and/or form factor. For the price and features, this dock ticks off all the right boxes. Time will tell with the long-term reliability, but I am using it to connect a MacBook Air M1 (which is charging intelligently on this dock) to a 40" 4K display along with a MIDI keyboard controller, keyboard, trackpad, mouse, ethernet, and external storage drives. It has no issues detecting input to wake the machine up, and the display comes on quickly. I've observed no graphical glitches while working for many hours in Logic Pro. I have yet to try the card reader, but I have the unit tucked away behind the back of the rest of my gear--the form factor is perfect.
