its a piece of trash. it came bent and dinged up and i heard almost no sound difference. the pool noodle iv been using does a way better job then this sorry excuse for a mute. dont buy this.

I probably shouldn't be reviewing this, because I actually bought it for the neighbour's boy. So I don't actually use it.The neighbour is learning to play the sax. I have perfect pitch and he doesn't. Need I say more? He has kindly acquiesced to using this and it helps my ears considerably. He is improving. I can still hear him, but not as invasively. ;-)

Does an OK job for the alto. A little less for the tenor.

All this did was make my lower register notes harder to play, Not recommended. Sounds was just as blaring loud
