This is the best lye to use for soapmaking! The container is not too heavy or awkward to handle, pours easily without spilling all over, and always melts quickly and completely in water! Makes great soap! This will be my go-to choice from now on!

This food‑grade sodium hydroxide is of excellent quality. It’s clean, dissolves smoothly, and works perfectly for cold process soapmaking. The packaging is secure, and the granules are consistent, which makes measuring and mixing easier. I used this to make my cold-press soap, and it performed exactly the way it should: reliable and effective.

I bought this lye to try my hand at making my own soap. I did make soap with beef tallow and this lye and it turned out amazingly great. I will continue to make my own soap because I know exactly what is the ingredients are that are going onto my skin. Just check the labels of any bar of soap in the grocery store or any store, for that matter and you realize that you need a university degree to have even a slight clue as to what those ingredients are let alone what they are doing to our bodies. With all the chemicals that we can't control, it's nice to be able to control at least some of them from going into our bodies. This is just a small step in that direction. I truly recommend this product to all.
