Years ago, my Yorkie's groomer gave me a small, L-shaped, plastic comb to clean around his eyes. Since it came from the groomer, I assumed it was "state of the art" in terms of the design of these things.But my little guy's eye discharge has worsened with age, and it was becoming very difficult to remove, especially if I missed a day. You could tell the comb I was using was very uncomfortable for him, and it wasn't even terribly effective as there was always stuff left deep in the inner corners that I could only coax out with repeated applications of a warm, wet cloth to the area and lots of (inflammatory) wiping.When I saw this comb with its curved shape and realized the ends of the tines were blunted so as not to be too sharp, I thought it might be a vast improvement. Boy, was it ever!My dog no longer jerks away and tries to hide when it's eye-cleaning time and sometimes even seems to (gulp) enjoy the process! After a week, my technique has improved to the point that I am able to remove ALL crud with very little resistance from the subject.I keep the comb with my Yorkie's "travel bag" (LOL, I take him virtually everywhere with me and like to have his essentials handy at all times.) So I'll be buying another of these to keep in the tub for bath-time convenience. Great product!

I originally bought this comb to help clean the area the around the eyes of my 2 shih tzus. It does it a great job. I’ve since used it to clear small pieces of debris around the mouth area, in between toes and other areas that a normal metal grooming comb misses. The comb is very well made (good grip area, teeth are very sturdy, smooth to the touch, and the end of each tooth is rounded - no snags and won’t cut/scratch the skin). The graduated length of the teeth on the outer sides makes it very safe to use it around eyes, noses, lips…. In my opinion it is worth the price. Easy to clean, run it under hot water and use a tooth brush to clean between the teeth, when needed

It works great on my dog. I do my best to get her eye goop out, but this helps so much more. I get what I can out and then use this tool. It fits great in my hand and isn't that sharp where it would hurt her. It is most certainly worth the money!

This is a great fine tooth comb to clean underneath your dogs eyes if they have runny eyes that dry and leave crusty deposits. I use this on their eyes and face every single day. I comb underneath their eyes, their cheeks and underneath their little chins. This keep everything untangled and pulls out any little bits of food that might be hiding. I think it would also be a very good flea comb as well! Remember that it’s important to clean underneath your dog’s eyes every day so they don’t create scabs and raw spots underneath them

I absolutely love this little comb! My Yorkiepoo puppy needs daily grooming to stay on top of matting. I keep this comb by my TV watching chair and use it all over his little body while we snuggle. It’s perfect for his little paws, face, tail…everywhere. The spikes are close together so great for fine puppy fur. Love it!

Perfect size, very well made and gentle. The tines have rounded ends and aren't pokey. Works great for removing eye secretions that harden in the puppy's fur.

Great quality. Little big for small dogs like my 9 lb Havanese in the eye area, however perfect head,chin,backside. Definitely recommend. Wish seller would make one smaller to use in lower periorbital,area.
