Using it with a wireless alarm
I bought this because I moved home and there is quite a bit of opening glass at the rear of the new house. I brought my Infinite Prime wireless burglar alarm from the old house and all the wireless door/window contacts with me. I fitted this Viper to the window frame and wired it through the normally closed extra contacts on the Infinite Prime universal door/window detector and it works perfectly. Its been fitted a month now with no false alarms. I test it occasionally by giving the window frame a good tap and it triggers the alarm which then sends text message showing the shock sensor activated the system. Although I am using a wireless alarm system I did still have to run a 12v supply from the main alarm panel but i live in a bungalow so that was no problem, I set the Viper to constantly flash the LED whether the alarm is switched on or not as it provides a good deterrent.

High Quality Low Price.
As a retired university electronics technician, I think I am qualified to comment on this item. All I can say is that it is a very clever device. The amount of adjustment of its Sensitivity isgreat. The build quality for the price of this is excellent. It has a fibreglass (not SRPB) circuitboard, which is double sided with plated through holes. The double knock feature is great whenyou may trigger it accidently, without giving a false alarm. I purchased 2 of these, but I can seeme ordering more.I am extremely pleased with this device.
