My Wonderful World of Fashion: A Book for Drawing, Creating and Dreaming Paperback – September 23, 2009

This drawing book is awesome! I got it as a gift, with a 36-pack of colored pencils. It's bigger than I had imagined it would be -- it's the perfect size though. And it was much thicker than I imagined as well. They've got really cool things to color in, like pretty people and interesting designers stuff, jewelery, and create patterns for leggings and put lace on things. There's a couple of activities too, and you put makeup on some of the faces, and so much other stuff. Also, the front and back isn't made up of the same material as most drawing/coloring books (which is that glossy kind) -- it's sort of card-board-y which is great because you can color on the cool illustrations on the front and back, and its hard enough. The font for it is really cute, and I love all the illustrations. Great buy! I'd recommend this as a gift, or for yourself. Also it's not just for elementary-school ages.

This book exceeded my expectations. For starters, it's really beautiful. It made a nice gift and was very well received. Nina Chakrabarti books might be a new go-to for me for gifting. It gets kids reading, drawing, exploring, learning, and using their imaginations. The book is pretty and soothing to the senses. There were plenty of activities to keep a kid occupied and engaged. Great for reluctant readers and daydreamers. Perfect for summer as an anti-dote to screen time.

I can already tell this book is perfect for me. It's got it all. I wouldn't get it of your someone who just wants to color fashion. But for those who like to doodle too. A lot of blank pages and blank apparel and the such to design your own!!! I think this is great for all ages.The only crappy thing is the paper is a slightly better version of construction paper. I want to use markers but that's tricky with how bad the paper lets them bleed. That's why only 4 stars. The designs are so cool and it's like why have such silly paper inside.

Great activity/doodle book for your tween! My 12yr old daughter put, "some type of coloring book for my age" on her Xmas list. So I put that criteria in the AMAZON search engine, and came up with this wonderful activity/design book for my daughter. It's filled with lots of things to do on those days you just feel like doodling or coloring. I was so impressed, I just ordered another one for my 11yr. old niece who has everything and is hard to come up with gift giving ideas for. It's a large book, pretty thick, nice quality and lots to do inside.

Im 14 and the first time I saw this book was when i was like 12 or 13 at T.J. Maxx and I never forgot about. Even though some parts are a little childish like coloring, the over all book is like an inspirational fashion book to look from. I would feel wrong for even coloring in it because of its intricate deauty. Definitely getting the second one and would recommend this to any/everyone any age who likes fashion because this book is absolutely wonderful.

I have to admit, I'm not a child but I got this book anyway because I was in the coloring mood. The book was in fantastic condition, new and everything, no bent corners or anything. Definitely I take this with me when I travel. Such a good thing to use during spare time!

I 1st saw this item at the de Young Museum gift shop. I knew I would be able to buy it one Amazon. So, I bought two of them:)What a great gift for the woman who has almost everything:) or is working her way to that point!!I was going to keep one for myself, but decided to give one to my sister who is mondo creative and LOVED IT as did the other recipient

I ordered this for my daughter's birthday and, sadly, a lot of the pages had already been scribbled in by someone else

This book is so cute! It is very interactive and encourages creativity. There are lots of different activities from colouring patterns, to designing shoes, clothes and jewellery. The pages are like a blank canvas just waiting to be brought alive by a young mind (or young at heart). My eight year old niece will love it!

Para las que les gusta dibujar. Sobretodo es para niñas porque las ilustraciones de zapatos y demás les encantan. Perfecto para vacaciones de verano y que estén entretenidos haciendo este tipo de trabajo educativo.

Continuing on my quest down the Amazon(.co.uk) to find colouring books to feed my obsession I came across this one, well actually I came across this one plus two others in the series but today its all about this book, Nina Chakrabarti's My Wonderful World of Fashion.First of all this book is beautiful to look at it pretty, pink and it is massive, I believe it is 200 pages plus in length.My creative juices were starting to flow and I hadn't even opened the cover yet, once inside you are treated to a visual spectacular, to the younger reader a lot of it may mean nothing such as the reference to many of the world's fashion houses but to the older reader it is a pure delight, for the budding fashion designer there are blank spaces to put your own creations, fabrics to doodle upon, accessories to make your mark upon.Plus its not just plain white paper inside there are bright pink pages that I cannot wait to fill in. The paper itself is nice and thick, I have not used pens upon it yet so I can't vouch for them but I have used Koh-i-Noor Magic pencils and they looked great, well I think they did anyway!There is so much fun to be had with this book and it'll last for ages too, as it says it is a book for creating, dreaming and drawing, my only problem is keeping it away from 8 year old!Originally published here: http://redheatherduff.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/fashion.html
