Non bells and whistles GPS watch
It takes a little bit of getting used to, but at the price point it's great. I use it for run tracking so I can leave my phone at home.

A no-nonsense running watch that does the job
Here are my impressions after using the watch for a few weeks.Advantages:- Simplicity, price.- Wristband is comfortable.- Traditional mono LCD is readable in full sun. On the flipside, not the best at night (with backlight on, of course).- GPS tracking and heart rate monitoring do the job as expected, although GPS is a bit flimsy and prone to lose signal in covered areas.- Menu is quite simple and the functions are easy to operate with a bit of practice. I find the button operation more practical while training than touch screen.- Data can be downloaded (via USB-B cable) into a Sigma Data Center app (sigma-download.com) to study in detail, including route map.Downsides:- GPS takes up to a few minutes to fix the signal. However, you can upload GPS data to your watch using the Sigma app, which makes the process of fixing the positions much faster. Once I did it, GPS signal search lasted less than half a minute (I have had only one training since so not tested enough).- In training mode (with heart rate monitor and GPS on), I estimate the battery would last only 2-3 hours. (When not training, battery lasts a few days.)- Heart rate measurement sometimes inaccurate (too high) while biking (due to rough terrain?)- USB-B socket.- Daily step count seems higher than counted by mobile phone (not that it matters for me - I am interested in training stats: distance, time, heart rate, and these seem fine).- NFC data transfer to phone is said to be very flimsy (not my opinion - I have no plans to use this function).

Battery life is low
It has built-in GPS and works fine.Battery hardly lasts 3 hours with just GPS, not using the heart monitor. You will need more than one if you are hiking for longer than 3 hours.

Sports running watch
The watch has many functions and It is well built. I did have some difficulty understanding the instructions how to operate the watch. However the support centre at the web site helped me out and I can operate it now.

Watch was fine, dodgy charing cable
I previously gave this watch a 1 star as it didn't work, but it turned out the supplied charging cable was faulty. Still annoying but the watch itself is fine.
