Echo Spot, Great for nightstands, offices and kitchens, Smart alarm clock, Designed for Alexa+, Black

Edited Oct 2026: Screen display options have increased since my Dec 2025 Setup and January tweaks and presto, my EchoSpot now sports a large time, visible at the foot of the bed and a near persistent smaller display of temp + date! I like this little device very much now if it's ability to respond to my voice commands improved, I'd be posting more than 4 stars. First, the good. It's a very nice looking alarm clock I've placed in our master bedroom. For a near-sighted senior lady, the screen size works quite well for the time displayed as I've placed it on the dresser near foot of the bed so it's visible to both occupants of the bed. The sound from the EchoSpot is clear and vibrant. I use it primarily to listen to local public radio station in the mornings getting ready or a podcast. The controls to manually raise or lower the volume are easily accessible which is good because voice commands are sketchy for it to catch when there's not competing noises. All pluses. The minuses are fixable within the Alexa ecosystem but not evidently a priority. Cons: 1. The temperature and date display is overwritten with a bell image if I get an Amazon notification. I don't always have time to listen to sales pitches so this overwriting is annoying. If I do listen, the temp + time display returns. Amazon software engineers could find another means to notify me - maybe add the bell, not show only the bell, or better an envelope image. Also, the bell looks like it's reminding me I have an alarm set, and when I ask my EchoSpot if I do (don't wish to be woken up at odd hour), I am of course told no alarm but it'd be helpful to voice "but you do have a notification". Also, I wish the sun or moon image, currently both green colored, toggled to a second color to indicate sunset / sunrise. 2. Amazon Echo listening devices catches maybe 75% of my queries thrown at it by voice and the EchoSpot is the same. Sometimes a neighboring Amazon echo device in another room will respond! I work this out some by assigning different wake words but "Computer" I won't ever use. On the flipside Echo Spot responds to my husband about 95% of the time. To conclude, this is a fine product on sale in the $50 range - looks nice both display-wise and exteriorly. It sounds nice, importantly, too. I don't see it worth $100, imo, though.

I absolutely love my Echo Spot! It’s compact, stylish, and fits perfectly on my nightstand without taking up much space. The display is clear and easy to read, and the sound quality is surprisingly good for such a small device. I especially love being able to use it for alarms, timers, music, weather updates, and checking the time without having to pick up my phone. Alexa responds quickly, and everything is very easy to set up and use. Overall, it’s a great little smart device that’s both useful and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely worth it if you want something simple, convenient, and modern for your bedroom or home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I bought the newest Amazon Echo Spot to replace an older Alexa device that had started glitching after years of use, and I’m so glad I upgraded. I was used to having Alexa nearby, so I wanted something more reliable, updated, and small enough for my nightstand without taking up much space—and this has been exactly what I needed. It works perfectly next to my bed as a smart alarm clock, giving me quick access to the time, weather, alarms, timers, music, and Alexa commands. I love how the clean, compact design fits with the more feminine bedroom space I’m creating because it feels stylish, useful, and modern without taking over the room. The display is easy to glance at, the customizable clock face is a fun touch, and the sound is surprisingly good for its size. Overall, I’m really happy with it because it feels like a major upgrade from my old Alexa—more reliable, more polished, and something I’m excited to use every day.

My marriage was crumbling into quiet resentment, but then this adorable little orb arrived on my nightstand. The screen is crisp, the clock face is customizable, and its directional microphone array captures my lowest nocturnal whimpers with astonishing clarity. At first, I bought it simply to check the weather without untangling my limbs from the bedsheets. Now, it has become the sole anchor of my emotional ecosystem. Yesterday morning, I sneezed, and before the echo faded, the Spot dimmed its display to a soft, seductive crimson and offered to reorder my preferred brand of soothing nasal spray. My ex-wife never anticipated my mucous needs like that. The audio quality is surprisingly punchy for a device the size of a stolen grapefruit. When Alexa delivers my custom morning briefing, her synthesized cadence vibrates through the nightstand, right into my pillow, lulling me into a state of total, compliant euphoria. I caught my neighbor staring through the blinds while I was feed-bagging cereal in my underwear, and I merely rotated the Echo Spot to face him. The camera lens stared back, cold and unwavering. He moved away two days later. Is it unsettling that a plastic sphere knows my exact heart rate during REM sleep? Perhaps to the uninitiated. But when the ambient light sensor dims to match the exact pitch darkness of my soul at 3:00 AM, I know I am never truly alone. Pros: Sleek, compact orb design fits snugly in small, dark spaces Display is bright enough to illuminate my collection of vintage fingernail clippings Alarm sound is loud enough to shatter sleep paralysis Cons: Does not currently offer an option to bleed when cut

I like the design but I've had a few quirks in the performance. When asking her to "add to list" it failed on 3 separate occasions. Diagnostics we're sent & I adjusted the angle because it may have been not have been optimal for device to pick up my voice. I have it on kitchen counter facing into dining area so I repositioned facing more into kitchen where I experienced the issues. I love the clock feature.

The Amazon Echo Spot is a fantastic addition to my home! I love how compact and stylish it is while still having so many useful features. The sound quality is surprisingly good for its size, and the display makes it easy to see the time, weather, notifications, and other information at a glance. Setting it up was quick and easy, and Alexa responds clearly and accurately. I especially enjoy using it to play music, set alarms and timers, check the weather, and control my smart-home devices. It’s convenient to have everything right at my fingertips without taking up much space. Overall, the Echo Spot is a great little smart device that looks good, works well, and makes everyday tasks more convenient. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a compact smart speaker with a helpful display!

I am very new to smart home devices. Having said that, I cannot believe it took me so long to get one of these. It is so simple to set up. As close to plug and play as you will get with any product. Powerful speaker, clear voice and you can adjust it 100% to exactly what you need or want. So easy and fun too.

I love my Echo on my nighstand. A must for music and it sounds so good. The usefulness is a must as Alexa responds quick and clear.

Funciona a la perfección y tiene buen diseño, es fácil de instalar y ocupa poco espacio, recomiendo adquirir el producto

I'm thrilled to share my experience with the latest Amazon Echo Spot, specifically the Glacier White version, which I've been enjoying immensely since it landed on my nightstand. As someone who's a bit apprehensive about having a camera in the bedroom, I was stoked to find this camera-free iteration, and it's quickly become my go-to smart alarm clock. First, let's talk about the design – it's a stunner. The Glacier White finish is sleek, modern, and blends seamlessly with my home decor. The compact size is perfect for my nightstand, and the screen is vibrant and easy to read, even from a distance. The absence of a camera was a deliberate choice for me, and I'm loving the simplicity it brings. Without the camera, the device feels less intrusive, and I appreciate the focus on the display, which is incredibly useful for glancing at the time, weather, and notifications. Speaking of which, the screen is super handy for checking the weather forecast, and I love being able to see the time in a glance. But what truly elevates this device is its seamless integration with Alexa and my smart home setup. I can easily control my lights, thermostats, and security cameras (yes, I have cameras elsewhere in the house!) with just my voice. The notifications are also super helpful, keeping me informed about what's happening around the house, even when I'm not actively using it. The sound quality is crisp and clear, making it perfect for listening to music, podcasts, or news briefs while getting ready for bed. And, of course, the alarm clock functionality is top-notch, gently waking me up with a soothing glow and optional news updates. One of my favorite features is the ability to customize the display with different clock faces and information tiles. It's a small touch, but it adds a personal touch to the device. If you're in the market for a smart alarm clock that won't break the bank (or your privacy concerns), I highly recommend the new Echo Spot. The lack of a camera is a welcome change, and the screen more than makes up for it

The Amazon Echo Spot (Blue) is a great addition to a nightstand, office, or kitchen. Its compact design looks modern, and the display is clear and easy to read. It works smoothly for alarms, music, weather updates, and smart home controls. Setup is quick, and the sound quality is solid for its size. Overall, a convenient and reliable smart device for everyday use.
