I have awful radio reception after instal? Is there something I could have done wrong??

This isn't really made for good reception because it's so short, theres a reason why normal antennas are so tall, it's mostly for looks. Although I have heard some people had no change in reception and some had terrible reception. I never listen to the radio though I always play it over my phone
