Pautzke High Octane Fire Dye

Be prepared to has this stain all over the boat and you. If you were using this on your bench in the garage, which you are not, the mess would not be bad. I purchased this color and the chartreuse. I died 1/3 of my minnows this color, 1/3 chartreuse and left 1/3 natural. I caught more fish on the natural than the died minnows combined and the die was on me, the boat, the livewell, towels and the boat deck. I learned a good lesson.

The dye works for softer baits, but be wary of the mess. A glass container works good to repel the excess liquid, where as plastic may have stains from the residual.

If you want dead minnows buy this product. Added it to my shiners and fatheads night before. According to bottle it said 12-24 hours soak. Woke up pink foam bubbling out of minnow bucket from aerotor. Close to half of small minnows already dead. Went fishing and the dye just stains everything you touch or it comes in contact with. Barely colored live minnows. Cpl hours into fishing we dumped all the water out and flushed it all out to hopefully save minnows but they all died. Had to leave fishing to go get fresh minnows. This product is an absolute joke.
