If you need something to catch dirt daubers, this works very well, catches flies too, but where I live I have ponds and loads of dirt daubers. I prefer the longer version of this product but these are good too. Within roughly 3 weeks in my shop and garage these won't have room to fit another dauber. But be mindful it will catch birds too so be careful if you have birds near where you hang them. Works on those Shiney blue kind of daubers as well as the regular wasp looking ones we have in North Texas.

Flies love getting stuck on this!

The only flies caught on this is the one they painted on. Yes it comes with dead flies painted on the stick. Not very attractive.

This works great however the last one received was poorly packed and smashed.

We had a terrible flesh fly problem this spring with a lot of flies getting into the house through our chimney. We bought a couple different fly traps to catch flies near the windows. These worked the best by attracting the flies and then providing a very sticky surface. Flesh flies are large and can get out of traps that are not sticky enough and will leave behind legs and wings to get free. Luckily, our issue was solved by finding the source of the problem (nasty neighbors dumping trash) and we don't need these anymore but I would recommend them if you need to catch large number of flies.

They attracted flies, but not very well. There are a small amount of flies on the traps and a million still flying around.

This not only caught flies but attracted multiple flying insects - I was fine with that. It’s not very sturdy looking, but it certainly ridded our area of flies!
