LOVE!!! Effective for Plantar Fasciitis & knee pain
LONG, DETAILED REVIEW: I received my OoFos recovery slides 11 days ago and have only taken them off while sleeping (and part of one day as a test) because I LOVE THEM. My feet and knees started feeling better immediately. The arch support, the shock absorption and the rocker bottom that takes pressure off the heel are everything the company says. For reference, I wear a women’s size 10.5 with an average width. I have low arches, over pronate (ankles/feet roll to the inside), have plantar fasciitis and a painful heel from stepping on a sharp rock while running. I prefer a wide toe box so my toes can spread naturally. If the toe box isn’t wide it crams my big toe into the others and quickly becomes painful (I could see that turning into a hammer toe if not careful). The slides have a great toe box but, as everyone knows, wide toe boxes are not necessarily “pretty” in women’s shoes. Screw fashion; I need my feet to make a living and enjoy my life. I purchased a woman’s 11 which is fine for me but probably could have done the size 10. I’t’s ok, I’d rather that they be slightly big than a little too small. I will try to include photos if that helps people make their decisions. I already wear shoes with arch support from morning until night. I slip on shoes before getting out of bed and even wear swimmer’s sandals with arch support when I’m in the shower. Yes, that is how much foot pain I have. If I can’t be mobile I can’t work in my profession so I’ve gotta do what I can. I’ve tried rotating through different shoes while at work and for that reason I have 4 different pairs waiting on the floor at work at any given time. So the only real change I’ve made so far is that I’ve been wearing these OoFas slides instead of my regular shoes that also have good arch support. My foot pain had gotten so bad that when I get a new pair of shoes of the same brand and model that worked for me previously my feet hurt as if I’ve already worn the shoes out. I have spent at least $850 on shoes costing $80-125 during the last 1.5 year trying to find something that can handle the abuse my feet endure by working 12-14 hours a day on concrete. I’ve been wearing these slides at work whenever possible even though they aren’t really a professional style just because I needed something and needed it fast. Previous to this the plantar fasciitis has been so excruciating that I am hobbling on and off and I cannot endure any of my usual athletic activities. My whole body is affected including my knees, hips and low back. With these shoes the PF is markedly improved already. Unbelievable. As a test I slipped my newest, most comfy running shoes on briefly on each day, stood there and took a few steps. Each time I feel my feet and knees start hurting immediately so I put the slides back on. After 1 day of wearing the slides I felt the muscles in my low back were noticeably loosening up so there has been some popping and relief in that area too. It did take me about an hour of getting used to the arch support and lower heel. I could feel some stretching so I took it slow walking in them at first so I wouldn’t hurt myself. After that I became less focused on that and just enjoyed the shock absorption and arch support. I know the support and shock absorption of these slides will only hold up so long, like with most athletic shoes. I use a Fitbit and log about 200 miles per month (and that’s when I’m not very active due to all this pain I’ve had). If I remember correctly, most athletic shoes should be replaced every 300 miles (that’s about 6 weeks for me) because I wear athletic shoes all day long at work so they don’t last long. So I’d be happy if these slides held up a month wearing them everyday, all day. Most people probably don’t put in as many miles as I do. To some people it might seem like $50 is a waste but in all honesty I’d spend $50 a month to deal with a lot less pain and return to my normal more active lifestyle. When I bought these I was desperate for some relief ASAP. I feel like after a couple more weeks I may be able to wear other shoes for part of the day again. I’m waiting on some other shoes designed for PF and knee pain to arrive so I’ll continue wearing these slides from the moment I get out of bed until I hit the hay again. I’ll check back in later for an updated review. Some things mentioned in other reviews - I personally did not notice a chemical smell with my shoes and I’m sensitive to chemicals so I would notice. I’ve not had slippage toward the front of the shoe but I’ve been wearing black athletic ankle socks with them so it’s not as obvious that I’m wearing sandals at work. LOL Even with socks I’ve had no trouble at all sliding them on but my foot isn’t wide and I do not have a high instep. I generally wear average width shoes. It does take a bit to get used to the feel of less pressure on your heel while walking or standing if you’ve never had a shoe with some degree of a rocker sole and prominent arch support. The rocker is part of how they work to relieve pain. I’ve not noticed any significant wear on the bottom but I do wear them mostly indoors and I don’t drag my feet. Depending on your foot and joint issues they may or may not be the right shoe for you but if you are flat footed, have PF or other foot/knee/leg joint pain they are worth a try. If you experience supination (weight falls more on the outside) anything with this level of arch support and a heel drop may not be a good fit for you but it’s up to you to try. If you do a lot of lateral movements this slide might not support your heel enough during those lateral activities but that is expected...it is a slide and it’s marketed as a comfy shoe to get some relief after exercise and not for everyday wear. I know I’m not wearing mine as they were intended to be worn because I wear them all day but they are helping me so far so I’m going with it.

Excellent support, foot sole sweat
I was suffering from cuboid pain and this slide has eased the pain to almost nonexistent. It has firm but cushioned arch and lateral support. Think of it as standing on a semi-squishy stress ball. It has the support of a Dansko clog, but with comfort & cushion. These are made with closed-cell foam, so you can wash them in the sink and it will NOT absorb water like a sponge. You can shake them almost dry or use a towel. Since it doesn’t absorb moisture, your feet can become quite sweaty if you’re barefoot. You might want to wear socks with this material. There is NO breathability for the sole of your foot. Wear socks, powder, or slide your foot out once in a while to air out. I thought about taking a star off for this, but nah. You can work around it. The support & comfort are worth it.

So comfortable and supportive
I bought these because I have been dealing with Achilles tendinopathy and wanted something supportive and comfortable to wear instead of going barefoot. I really like them. They are extremely comfortable and have been helping a lot when I’m on my feet. They fit as described and have a lot more cushioning and support than a regular pair of slides. I’ve been very happy with them and would definitely buy them again.

Most comfortable sandals ever
These have great arch support and for someone like me with high arches I find them to be very comfortable. I stand all day (at home) for work and I do that in my Oofos because of how comfortable they are. My only complaint with them is that the strap on top caters to a very LARGE foot and I have very skinny feet so my foot slides farther forward than I'd like and my toes end up hanging over the front at times.

They work 100%, beautiful!
I can’t say enough good things about these slides. I literally have had horrible bilateral thigh pain for over a year to the point where I had to stop exercising most of the time and it was hard to walk distances and in general I was just miserable with constant pain. I go to UCLA to specialists who are top-notch but not one doc has been able to figure it out why my legs hurt so badly. I’ve had so many tests and have been to one doctor after another with no diagnosis. I’ve had an EMG, MRIs, x-rays, epidural steroid injection, ultrasounds, etc. and nada. Fast-forward to desperation and asking AI to help me figure this out and by God it directed me to buy these slides and to also put orthotics in my shoes when I leave the house and also very important, AI said never take these slides off when I’m walking on hardwood floors in my house even to go 10 feet to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Within the first day, pain was gone. I really couldn’t believe it so I continued wearing them and since I’ve put these on about a week ago I’ve had a little bit of minor pain intermittently maybe 1/10. I’m not even taking Tylenol much anymore. I just find it so hard to believe that these recovery slides could do so much but believe it, because it is amazing.

Not great for high arches/insteps
I bought these to use as house shoes to give my feet more support walking around on my hard floors inside. I had high hopes, and while I’m not ready to throw in the towel on them yet there are a few things that keep me from wearing them very much even after a couple of months: 1. I have very high arches and a high instep. I’ve been trying to break these in but they still feel very tight on the top of my foot and leave red marks. Even using the heat of my hair dryer on high didn’t help them to mold better to my foot and wearing them all day hasn’t made much difference either. Due to the tightness they are actually challenging to get on my foot without specifically positioning them individually. They aren’t “slip ons” for me 2. Since they fit very snug around my midfoot they are very hot and I sweat in them there. (Super hot summer where I live) 3. There is a lot of arch support and they are pretty shock absorbing, not sure they are helping my right foot bunion much though, but it could be how snug they are across the mid part of my foot. 4. They are very unattractive. So, I don’t think I’ll wear these much unless they get a lot more comfortable. Pretty disappointed, but I do have cranky hard to fit feet so these aren’t the first shoes to not live up to the hype for me.

These are absolutely amazing! Almost no pain when walking with plantar fasciitis
Last time I had plantar fasciitis was about seven years ago and it lasted over a year. This time All winter I wore mostly slippers with foam bottoms and no arch. I have now had it for about a month on my other foot. I have tried everything except a corrective shoe or sandal. I decided to give these a try and they were less than half of most of the recommended ones these have a high arch and you end up walking on the front of your feet and the heel touches very little. After two steps I knew this was an absolute lifesaver. These are absolutely fantastic! It’s going to take a while to get used to wearing them because at age 71 my balance is not the best. If I was ever going to recommend something to somebody for this problem, it would be these sandals. I buy hundreds of items on here and rarely do I leave a review But in this case it’s important for people to know that this takes most of the pain away and allows you to actually focus on something else more pleasurable. These are a 10 out of 10 so glad I tried them!

Definitely helps just keep them dry
Had these little over a week now and they're definitely making a big difference in my foot pain. I will say I think it's probably best to order a half size up if you can just because they do fit pretty snugly. Make sure you don't get them wet just because it gets really slippery it's not like some other sandals so not a good option for pools or lakes or beaches or anything like that. I would just keep them on inside. I put them next to my bed at night and step into them in the morning and I haven't struggled with those first few steps in the morning.
