Was surprised when these worked. Widen the screen hole slightly and happen one of these into the whole until it stops. Snap of the piece that is sticking out. You left with a plug that you can screw into for a tighter fit

I have a heavy solid wood door where the house has settled so the tip hinge (of 3 hinges) has slowly stripped the screw holes in the door frame. The door doesn't close quietly. Over the years I've tried stuffing the hole with matchsticks, longer screws, etc. Eventually, they come loose. I tried this solution. I screwed the plastic in which didn't go far. It broke off easily. I had mixed results. The top screw basically wouldn't allow me to screw it in by hand. I had to use a drill driver. The middle long screw went in easily by hand but I think the hole is stripped so this is a fail. The bottom screw faired the best. It broke off and showed the plastic hold. I drove it in with the drill driver in a second. It looks solid. The door doesn't close cleanly because I think the top screw has moved a bit. It's better than it was, but I will follow up in a month.

Works as it should. Would buy again. Very simple to use as well.

Crappy and does NOT WORK !!! Wasted my time and money!! When screwing them in the stripped space they kept breaking off as it a cheap plastic!!! I’m frustrated and would appreciate a refund :(

I have an old wood backyard gate and almost all of the screws were loose and barely held the door in place. I had to manually lift the door to open and close it. I was hoping to avoid having to replace it and ran across these type of products. The Gulfmew set was very inexpensive so I figured it was worth a try. The ten anchors arrive in a small ziplock bag which is inside of a generic white box. I think these are made of plastic, but they actually have a little metallic feel to them. I took out all of the screws on the wood door and moved the hinge out of the way. It was easy to push the anchors into the screw holes, and the top snaps off easily. I put the hinge back over the screw holes and put the old screws back into the newly anchored holes. It definitely takes a little muscle, but wow it is now rock solid. The door swings great and the latch even catches on its own which it hasn't in years. These worked great for me and are definitely a cheap solution to try before having to do a more costly replacement.

So far every door has been screw tight. I really like this product
