MUSASHI High Protein Bar, 45g Protein, Dark Chocolate & Salted Caramel | Under 1g Total Sugars, Post Workout and Protein Snack On The Go, 3.2oz (90g) Bars, Low Sugar

This comment is on the Musashi Dark Chocolate and salted caramel. I have not tried the other items in their line up. It is not what you may expect. First, the flavor is interesting, chocolate, yes, but the rest of what is going on is not caramel to my taste, it is more like very, very mild cherry. So not at all unpleasant. The texture is unusual. It is like nougat, but very dense. Very chewy. It is not like a "candy bar" that is chewy, because it is more dense, and therefore a bit dry. Not so good to take along on a walk unless you have a beverage--coffee would be my first choice because this bar seems almost made to have with coffee, but water is also fine. I haven't tried it with tea yet but think tea would also be a great match. Soda pop, not a good match to my taste. Individual results may very, as they say. Portion--this is not like a candy bar. One of these bars is very filling, in fact, half a bar is just right for me. If this were a candy bar you could pop it down in a minute, wash with a beverage, and away you go. Not so with this. Before I am even done with one bar I am feeling full. It takes a lot of chewing and swallowing to get a bar down. I wonder if it actually pulls moisture out of my system and expands in my stomach because I feel full fast, but about a half a bar is all I want. I am starting to cut one bar into four portions to pop in just one at a time through the day. That seems to work to keep me feeling full and alert. 12 bars for 30 bux is around 3 bux a throw for easy math. 3 each sounds like a lot, but if I think of it as replacing a meal and a snack, then not so much. The flavor is nice, but leaves me wanting more variety if overused, so I will probably look at another of the Musashi bars or a competing brand to mix up the flavor a bit.

When your on the go these protein bar are great, they help fill the gap between regular meals and I enjoy the taste. I had tried many types of "protein" bars might as well eat a candy bar or they taste so awful that you have to choke them down with a ton of water. And these bars are my go to food for those little cravings and i dont feel guilty about afterwards.

I didn't like these at all. the texture, the taste is not good - I couldn't even finish 1 bar. I quess the protein content is good but not sure it's worth it.

Taste is what you might expect from something high in protein and not filled with sugar or fillers. 45 grams protein but also 330 calories which is typical. Lower protein, you get lower calories. I will buy again

The truth is these are the most affordable and easiest way to get your protein intake in to where it should be throughout the day and to stay full. Eat two a day and have the rest of your protein at dinner. Have three per day and you’re pretty much done depending on how much protein your goal is each day. They taste like a non nonsense protein bar. Which is really no taste at all except a slight hint of peanut butter. If you’re looking for a wonderful taste in your mouth, make a salad, eat butter and bread, enjoy some pasta, have a cookie or ice-cream. Have a delicious peach or a chocolate shake. This is not that. This is about getting your protein in, medicine for your body. Last time I checked if you chew a Tylenol it taste awful so you swallow it and boom headache goon. LOVE your body enough to know this is about taking care of your overall health and nutritional needs.

These are some good-tasting bars with a hearty texture and satisfaction that staves off hunger for hours. I usually grab a protein bar when hunger hits, but I don't have time to stop and eat a meal. Most bars leave me hungry afterward, which defeats the purpose. Not these, and I love the taste and benefits of super low carbs. You get what you pay for, and since I wait for the 30% off pricing, I get even more.

The macros are great. Flavor not so much. Very bland. I don’t get anything resembling dark chocolate salted Carmel. I ordered another flavor to try.

This meal bar is delicious! It also has a great chewy quality texture, making the eating of more enjoyable than other bars and other foods. And of course, the 45 grams of Protein is wonderful, giving me most of my protein needs for the day. I highly recommend it.
