Colin McRae: DIRT (PS3)

This is a great game, I was not too happy with the handling of the cars at first but after having played the game for a while it feels much better.The car handling feels more realistic on loose surfaces than on tarmac, damp tarmac in particular feels a bit arcade like.Yes, the American co-driver accent is annoying, as are the cheesy comments before and after a stage, but the game structure/menu system is well thought out and the graphics, lighting and the track design are excellent.There is also a wide range of cars in the game including a 320 BHP McRae Motorsport Ford Escort Mk2, which handles fantastic if you tweak the settings.(Max camber front,max toe-in front,zero toe at rear, zero camber at rear)The OSD has by default a moving map at the top but this can be changed in options to the more familiar arrows of previous games.Overall a great rally game.

V.good game, graphics, almost real life experience with the bumps, jumps, collision and driving....Can be a bit hard to drive if you havent played any rally game...cause the driving style is jst different....Need for speed driving is far easier than Dirt, but the harder it gets, the more you try and in the end you get better!

Got to be one of the best offroad games on Playstation bar none in my humble opinion.

Okay, the title can be strange but if you have played the older colin mcrae you will understand me.This game still have rally cars, rally stages and rally control. The graphics is good enough (okay, the dirt 2 is a lot better in this) but the really important is that the center of the game is the rally races (classic rally, Super special 2 cars on, and with stages like Pikes Peak!!), in the dirt 2 all of this turn 180ª and the center is the other things (buggys, trucks, a very short Raids...). The handling of the car still have something of simulation (if you play in profesional mode), you need to drive well and be a good "drifter" to win all. I have played the dirt 2 only a 3 or 4 days in profesional mode and I won all the raves in the first or second attemp! Too easy.The dirt 3 can change this but, actually, the best rally game for ps3 is still this Dirt, if you like the rallys.

HAVING BEEN SUCH A FAN OF THE COLIN MCRAE RALLY GAMES THIS ONE WAS NOT GOOD AT ALLIT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WRC LIKE OTHER GAMES AND NO 2 PLAYER ALTERNATIVE MODE FROM WHAT I PLAYEDI MUCH ENJOYED 3 AND 4 ON THE PS2 WHEN YOU COULD DO STAGES WITH A FRIEND ON FULL SCREEN ALT MODE SADLY MISSING IN MOST NEW CAR GAMES TO DATE.ALSO THE F1 GAMES HAVE YET TO DO THIS ALL THE FOCUS SEEMS TO BE ONLINE PLAY THESE DAYS RATHER THAN REAL FRIENDS IN THE SAME ROOM SHAMELETS HOPE THEY WILL BRING OUT A REAL RALLY GAME IN THE FUTURE LIKE THE C.M.R 3 & 4

This is an out standing driving game great on ps3 and on 42" full hd tv 1080p great grapich superb cars, only disapointment not enough rally too much american and greece and cuyprs no included in rally chapionship and would be better iv they icluded the conlin mcrae rally school like there othere games but 8 1/2 out of 10

rally vom feinsten mit sehr toller grafik. echt empfehlenswert für jeden rennspiel liebhaber.viel fun für wenig geld (im vergleich zu anderen spielen natürlich):-)

Als ich das von meinem Vorschreiber gelesen hatte, dass es schwer ist das Auto gerade auf der Spur zu halten dachte ich mir was schreibt er da für einen Quatsch. Denn bis dahin kannte ich nur die 360er Version und da lässt sich das Spiel sehr gut steuern. Nachdem ich mir jetzt noch eine PS3 gekauft habe, habe ich mir Dirt auch für die PS3 gekauft um damit auch mal Online spielen zu können, ohne extra Geld dafür bezahlen zu müssen wie bei XBOX-Live.Allerdings hat er recht. Die PS3 Version lässt sich wirklich viel schlechter/schwieriger steuern. So macht Dirt keinen Spass. Wer eine 360 und eine PS3 hat dem empfehle ich die 360 Version von Dirt.
