Lots of options to cater for every need
I got this micro camera in order for my wife to be able to keep an eye on the yard where we keep horses. Theres been some strange goings on with things going missing, and she wanted to see exactly what's going on when she's not around! So got this camera, a battery pack and a 64Gb memory card. Installed this after playing around with the options and testing it at home. With the battery pack attached the camera lasts 3 days without having to charge, which is perfect for this situation. The motion detector worked perfectly and set the camera off when someone/something triggered it. Lets just say it done exactly what we wanted it to do and she now knows exactly what went on! Brilliant little camera and well worth the money!

Don't bother!
So within minutes the sprink had pinged out of the clip, so it won't now attach to anything! (the static stand needs the clip to attach/grip to it!). So I experimented the first 24 hours with the motion detection. It had to be plugged in (the battery lasts about 50 mins tops, even on the alarm/motion detection setting. The motion detection is very sluggish to start, so, by the time it has started recording the person that triggered it is off camera again. It forgets its settings as soon as it is outside the wifi area (one review said it records to the card out of wifi range still, I can vouch for the fact IT DOES NOT!). Also it frequently drops off the wifi, when it is in range, and then defaults to factory settings. The live viewing works to a point, to view it externally on you mobile device, you still need to be directly linked to the hub/router (so 15/20m away). It's not like you can go to work, and be nosey! I got it for an elderly friend, who is convinced that someone is letting themselves into her house, while she is out, so we had more evidence to take back to the police. It was a complete waste of money..... don't bother!

I should have read up on it
It is a good little camera however it isnt what i wanted. I wanted something with a good battery life and really it needs to be plugged in most of the time as it last just over an hour. I was happy with the picture quality but i wanted it to face out my window and the night vision bounced back a white light so i couldnt see outside properly. Probably good for watching pets inside your house. I would recommend it for indoor use day or night but only if you have it plugged in.

Not suitable for regular video recording
Tried to use this to record my dog walk in case of nasty encounters. Need to reduce the volume on the phone to enable recording with sound else you get feedback from the phone speaker. No sound recorded at all if sound set to mute on FREDI. Can't just set the camera recording then leave your phone behind. Camera only records for 45 minutes on a full charge despite claims to 75 minutes in the documentation. No button to enable recording on the FREDI itself. If you set to use your home network it isn't possible to take the camera out and then use the phone to control it without resetting the FREDI

Decent enough for the price
The media could not be loaded. Overall, it's a decent little bit of kit. It is quite tiny (see my photos for comparison to a £1 coin.) You control the camera via an app that you can download for Android and iOS. I've had the app running on my Android phone and my iPad without any real issues though I did find that the Android app would lag a little. The app is pretty easy to use and you can record the live stream and then share the video, though it can take a few moments to connect over wifi.Note that photos and video captured over wifi via the app seem to be of a poorer quality than those captured directly onto the memory card in the device itself. A memory card isn't included, but it will handle a card upto 128gb.I bought it to help me document some work I'm doing and for that it works rather well, with the battery lasting around 45 minutes. Although you could use it for security (CCTV) it's not really suitable for that. It's okay to use for one-off instances where you need to keep an eye on something/someone/somewhere, but for long-term security you'd be better off using something designed specifically for that task. The motion detection does work, but I find that it gave a lot of false positives by capturing footage where there were subtle changes in light. The picture quality is okay. It's not amazing, but you need to take the price into consideration. In the dark, the picture quality suffers a little but the IR LED's on this thing are really impressive for something so small. They will make it almost look like it's daytime. It comes with two attachments, a clip so that you can attach it to something like a pocket, and a bracket to stick it onto something like an item of furniture. It comes with a decent length (approximately 2 metre) USB cable for power/charging.

They say the best things come in small packages and this is certainly true about this camera. The video quality is more than acceptable. With a choice of mounting options from a clamp to a 360° swivel mount this camera can be positioned just were it is needed. Set up was easy just downloaded the app, connected to the camera through the Wi-Fi and off you go. I can monitor up to 4 cameras on my phone and record sound as well. After setting up with wi-fi I can now view the camera from anywhere anytime. First class product and first class service .

Only worked for a little while and I would class as unsafe
Nice little gadget, bought to catch my cat who brings me presents while I’m out and watch her on my phone. Allowing me to find the present as soon as I got home. Fairly easy to use but the app has to be downloaded and is not always reliable. You need to have good internet access wherever you are, but I’m only on 3G.Needless to say the cat flap is now locked 😆Four months on and this camera has stopped working and is over heating, the back is expending with the heat ready to explode. Contacted the seller via amazon today so will hopefully get a refund.Update, after a few to and fro with this seller, I did get a full refund from them, so all in all they do look after their customers. Now for me to find a more reliable and safe one.
