Awsome kit, beats in detail any variant by Tamiya, however the packaging can cause some breakage - had to rebuild my entire bow as it was smashed during shipping.PAINT ALL BEFORE ASSEMBLY for base colour and best results.Over 70hrs of work on the photoetch for good results but it DOES pay off.Wooden deck was a major dissapointment. Remove it by sections and Dont leave any traces behind - even if parts of the deck sheeting break and stay behind you can reposition them later on.Get yourself:- sharp hobby knife plus blades (seriously, GET STOCKED!!)- professional grade ss twezers, best for PE bending at this scale.Last but not least just go Totslly mad like i did building the Lonly Queen in the Fjord, and then display it produdly right next to the Bismarck..(And for extra fun get yourself the TRUMPTER 1/200 SCALE bismarck and work on some conversions for this baby...) go nuts on it cuz its dam worth it every second and every penny! XD

Briliant value
This is a brilliant value kit! The plastic kit would be reasonable at this price however with the inclusion of all of the photo etch, brass barrels, and wooden deck Its a steal. My only "Problem" with the kit that the photo etch can be a bit excessive, especially on the AA mounts, and with some of the peaces being less that 1mmx1mm it can be almost inposiable to keep them in eyesight never mind put them on. However i did find that you couldn't really tell if there where a few turning wheels missing on the AA guns, but that should say how detailed this this is!Would recommend to any experienced modeller as it may be a bit overwhelming to a beguiner or someone without a bit of photo etch experience.

2nd Rate!
This is not the first model l have purchased from Revell Germany .I consider myself a master modeller and have been building models for more than 40 years ,lunderstand very well all facets of model building.Firstly the quality of the model is not in the same class as Tamiya or Hasegawa .Both of thesebrands are far superior to Revell .The quality of the plastic is a problem, even after washing the parts and then using primer the adhesion of the paint is 2nd rate , paint was applied with a Badger airbrush and the paint used is Tamiya , although the finish initially looked good it took many coats and a lot of work to eventually get the paint to adhere with a good finish.Decals are extremely ordinary, they do not adhere as they should on the hull , in the end l gave up on the decals and masked the hull and sprayed the lines .Photo etched parts are thin ,not to the quality of Eduard and the parts require a lot of adjustments , the wooden deck is also extremely thin and too many of the die lines for deck parts are put on the same sheets .Instructions are reasonable again not as good as many other brands.The instructions for the photo etched parts are hard to understand and l would think if you do not have a lot of experience in this area you will have a lot of frustration with this.The model is not a huge challenge to build but it is not nearly as pleasurable as other brands on the market .If you have not had a fair amount of experience,l suggest give this model a miss.Would l buy this model again , No , would l buy a Revel Germany model again ,No.

Waste of money!
Seriously dont waste your money on this.the photo etched parts are so small its a joke.buy yourself a tin of gold and silver enamel paint and save £50.very dissapointed.

Woh, fun but woh!!
Don't attempt this unless your highly skilled, the photo etch is insanely difficult, I got most of it together but the AA guns are to small! also, it's very difficult to tell what each brass piece is, especially the mast and flag poles, it's a phenomenal kit just very challenging

Bonne maquette dans l'ensemble .
Maquette très complète photo-découpe + planche en balsa pour le pont supérieur +canons et mat en laiton cotée positif pour le cotée négatif c'est le plan assemblage photo-découpe pas très claire et il aurait pu mettre des drapeau en tissu.
