Not compatible with all devices
Wasted my money! I could get this product to work with my device. Works ok in the CPU, but that’s it! I had to purchase another brand to work in my car. DO NOT BUY THIS if you are trying to use it in a TESLA for the Sentry mode and Dashcam. IT WILL NOT WORK!

Handy
Please understand that I am not tech savvy. I am in college and am often working across various platforms. I use my cell phone, my laptop, and my tablet. This can consume a lot of space. I always back up my school work anyways but I wanted an easier way to go from one device to the next other than cloud storages. I also wanted something to back up my cell phone photos to but not have to worry about going back and forth with the photos. I also use my cell phone and tablet for music. This AirDisk USB 3.0 Wireless Flash Dive comes in a blister pack with the basic information on the front and back. When it arrived I immediately plugged it into my laptop and charged it. I was also able to open the folders to read the setup instructions. I did have to install an app to my cell phone and tablet. Once it was charged I turned on the flash drive's wifi and hooked my cell phone to it. I was then able to move whatever I needed to it. It transferred fairly quick. From the app, I could also transfer things from the flash drive to my phone. The app also alerts me to the status of the battery in the flash drive as well. The flash drive comes with a clear cap that covers the plug to keep debris out. There are lights to let you know when the wifi is on. There is a button on the side that turns the wifi on and off. There is a hole for a lanyard or keychain on the corner of the end.Overall, it's a pretty neat gadget and has been helpful for my school work allowing me to edit or write papers on the go and keeping them available in case something comes up and I am not at home to submit a paper. It also has helped clean up my cell phone a lot. I have moved a lot of pictures over.I do wish I had purchased a large capacity though. That is the only regret that I have.

Good archival solution, could use some minor improvements.
Setup was fairly straightforward, however the minimal instructions on the back of the package need to be enhanced, specifically:(1) Use the QR code code get the right software (DM Airdisk Pro, free). Other Airdisk apps are in the App Store (Apple).(2) Plugging in the Airdisk will not automatically start it, you need to press and hold the power button. Takes about 5-7 seconds to "boot" so you can find the WiFi signal on your phone. In addition, the Airdisk must be plugged into a USB power source; plugging it into a computer will allow you to connect to WiFi but now view files, and the instructions warns you of this.(3) Once connected and having the app installed, more complete instructions are located on the Airdisk itself, which the app allows you to view. I could not find a copy of the specific instructions on the web, YMMV.Once connected, I used the app to upload about 5Gb of videos from my iPhone 7+. About 20% into the upload, the WiFi "froze" and the progress screen went to "Calculating" and 0.00kb/s. I had to cancel and restart the app. This happened a second time at 35%. For each file already on the Airdisk, you must specify SKIP or RESERVE (overwrite?), which can be annoying for a large number of already stored files.Wireless upload speed was of the order of 1.2-1.6 MB/s. This took about 1 hour to complete, not counting the restarts.I then uploaded about 4 Gb of photos, and this time were no WiFi glitches. The previous upload glitch that occurred with movies was possibly just a random glitch. When I looked at the photos and movies in the folders on the Airdisk, they of course had the cryptic names that the iPhone assigns. Although you can view the initial frames (and photos) of each file using File Explorer's icon view, the dates of the originals are lost; all are labelled with the date and time of the transfer. All in all, this device is a good start towards a local method of archiving your phone's contents with using a computer or the cloud, and it's reasonably priced. There is some room for improvement, and that's why I give it 4 stars.Full Disclosure- I received this product at no charge for an honest review.

Very good product, it just has to be charged ever so often. Not a total inconvenience. I would buy again.

Couldn't find a way to wirelessly add files from a laptop
Bought this to send files from my laptop to my tv. Had hoped to be able to plug it into the tv and then wirelessly send files from my laptop to the usb drive. It appears the only way to send files to the drive wirelessly is from an IOS or Android app.
