Handy little paring knife. Balances well in the hand and the pear wood scales have a nice feel. The blade is not too long, making it useful for fine paring jobs on fruits and vegetables. The blade is likely 440C stainless, renowned for its edge-holding properties. A quick touch up on a steel and the blade is razor sharp. I use this little knife multiple times a day, and it does a fine job. Great little knife. Well worth the price.

We have been using one of these for quite some time and wanted to get another one. The local knife shop didn’t have any in stock so I checked on Amazon. The price was comparable but came in a 2 pack. We have had them for several weeks and they work just as well as the first one.

They are sharp and very nice

I have a folding Opinel knife that I love and love using in the kitchen. It has the carbon steel blade that stays sharp and cuts fruits and vegetables like butter. I thought that these paring knives would be similar in function but they have stainless steel blades that do not seem to take an edge like the carbon steel. They feel flimsy and are generally a bit disappointing. They are not terrible knives, but they are not like the original Opinel blade. I wish I had just ordered another folding knife with the carbon steel blade as they are really well made and relatively cheap for such good quality.

My favorite small knives. I love using them as steak knives, they are plenty sharp for any meat. They also look nice, so thats a plus!

My go-to brand. Opinel is a brand that shows you that you don't have to sacrifice origin or price for quality. I buy all their stuff and love it.

Good everyday knife, especially for the price. I used to buy victorinox stamped pairing knives but they kept breaking at the handle. These ones so far holding well.

This pair of knives is a great value. They are simple but comfortable and hold a good sharp edge. The knives are light and easy to handle. The steel is a good stainless that shows no signs of discolouring so far. The slot in the handle for holding the blade seems like it could be improved on this style of Opinel knives. Out of 3 knives we have, 2 seem to have gaps around the blades, which seems prone to catching food residue. With a bit of care in cleaning though, this doesn't seem to detract from the functional quality of the knives and the excellent value they are for the cost!
