Mind Gear mindLightz Wireless Mind Machine & AVS System for iOS Mobile Devices

Last time I used a device like this was my first year college in 1991. A paid 10 bucks for a 15 minute session and wrote 2 term papers that night with a lot of gas left in the tank. It was awesome. I've watched for device improvements over the years but was dismayed that the overall designs have not changed: wires everywhere and a clunky, fatter-than-a-VHS tape AVS brainbox. It's like the companies in this space REFUSED to innovate, until I saw this device.We do everything on our phone because they are capable. Finally, it dawned on someone to incorporate these expensive a** phones we have and utilize all the benefits of modern tech embedded in them. Now we have completely wireless system using low-energy BLE and an app to interface. Wow.Now the bad, but totally fixable issue I have: the app. It sucks from a user interface perspective, as if designed in 2010. Too many sub menus, unintuitive music/sound effects settings, default brightness settings way too high given that LEDs are bright to begin with. What this thing needs a fresh new coat of paint. Pay good money for someone who understands modern iOS app interface design and put real thought into it and you'll have a close to perfect product.As it stands the hardware is excellent and the carbon fiber design of the case was an awesome idea. I love the price which is 40-50% less than others and the unit itself is easy to connect to your phone. The default programs don't seem to be tuned to the hardware(ie..LED brightness) but you can change those in software. The issue that bother me most is software, so much so that I have to give the whole package 3.5/5. I feel it is really that crappy from a design perspective. Fix it and this is a perfect 5 in my book

Over the years I have owned several AVS devices. I love the mindLightz because of the top notch goggles and the iPhone integration. It just opens up so many programming and sessions possibilities. It also integrates very well with your iTunes library. I have been using audio tracks by iAwake, BlissCoded and Eric Thompson mixed with the mindLightz presets. Great AVS journeys...

George helped me out with my system last week by phone and provided spectacular customer service. I enjoy this product very much. I have been using it on the regular since purchasing and find it extremely helpful. It has been a godsend when it comes to being able to both relax and energize. I feel like I have new control over my mental and emotional state at any given time. I cannot express how much gratitude I feel for this and how much hope this product gives me. Highly recommended!

Easy set up, cool choices for programming, so easy to use with my phone. 5 stars! Now, 10 months later it won’t link using Bluetooth anymore.

I’ve used a similar set in the eighties.Mindlightz is all that I’d have hoped for and more. Will enjoy with utter joy for a long time too. The company has very high compliments, and I’m inclined to agree. Great work and thanks Mr. Mindlightz.

This Mindlightz system uses your iPhone (Android soon I believe) as the core of this very fine device which lowers the price compared to standalone systems I have owned which can be cumbersome to operate and and use. It is "simply" another App on your phone that sends Bluetooth signals efficiently and effortlessly to the LED glasses and optionally the Mind Gear Headset for a brain stimulation almost anywhere. I bought the headset as well and truly am very pleased with the deceptive simplicity of it all. I use my system nearly every day in the manner some might be benefiting from medical treatments. My spinal cord was injured in an auto accident and this helps me sleep and have focused energy for daily living. Those who are well may find that the meditative state it can induce is in itself a reason to give it a try. The company owner cares about his products and giving top notch customer service.I purchased this Mindlightz Brain Entrainment device directly from the manufacturer's website, but still wanted to provide Amazon users with my review here. This is easily the most-used app on my iPhone. The wireless glasses, together with the mindLightz app, give me the best meditation system I have ever owned - and I've owned another for 5 years. In addition, since this is a LIGHT "machine" and program, you provide your own music ... and in my case, I use hypnosis CDs that I've transferred to my phone. A completely wireless system that I can use anywhere, no wires grabbing onto other things and causing grief. I'm extremely impressed with all the different programs of differing lengths, the ability to add "sound effects" (gurgling water, lightening, seashore, and many others) that help to drown out exterior noises and distractions. There are even more features that I haven't yet explored as I'm happy with my present settings. It is an investment, but if you are trying to quiet your life, enhance your relaxation, or make self-improvements, I think this is well worth the money.So that's my product review ... and if I could add another five stars for customer service, I would. I had a bit of trouble with the glasses at first, and it literally took MINUTES for customer service to respond to my email. With that issue corrected, I have been welcomed to ask further questions and get assistance when I needed it. How could you NOT be impressed with a company that treats its customers this way - a rarity in today's marketplace! Thank you, Mind Gear!

Just trying out to see if I can write a review without actually purchasing the product as the other 2 reviews seem to be.I am looking at similar products to see which to purchase. The only thing I have to go by are the reviews so I am amazed that anyone can leave a review without actually being a verified purchase. I think that this should not be legal.
