The Everything Psychology Book: Explore the human psyche and understand why we do the things we do (Everything® Series)

I had to purchase this book as a text book for an intro psychology class. It's easy enough to read, but it's full of grammatical and spelling mistakes; which for me lessens the value and credibility of what I'm reading. I also question some of the statements made in the book as factual or up-to-date. It bounces around a little too, and tries to cover a huge spectrum of information in very short paragraphs. And though the author gives A LOT of examples (some of them seemingly random), some of the information would be better with illustrations or pictures. Personally, I would not have purchased this book for myself, and it would definitely not be my first choice for an academic read in learning psychology. I will be following up on this with other more academically written books to further my understanding of the subject.

Completely satisfied with the book. Not so much with your computer interface. I ended up with TWO books. Started buying the first book, entered my credit card number, but could not read the security code on the back, so I closed the program down and went to get my other (newer) card. I (wrongly) assumed that since the program asked for the security code (probably a good Idea), it would not complete the transaction if you did not enter one. The moral, have every thing you need BEFORE you start to check out

This book was absolutely amazing to read, and I learned a lot more about psychology than I had before. I didn’t know there was so many layers. I highly recommend this book if you like science of the mind.

If you are a psychology major or not this book is a perfect purchase. I am not done reading the book but so far the information I have read is something that interest me and is information that I would completely share with anyone.

I have never studied Psychology before and was a bit daunted by a 'text' book but this book came highly recommended and so I had high expectations. Its not only easy to read and understand but written in such a way that makes the subject very interesting and it is possible to dip and in out and just read particular topics.
