OK, so the headline is that it works. It feels flimsy and I have concerns the power jack will come out, but it does what it says on the tin.I've used it to heat cut / sculpt some PLA prints of mine, for that it works just fine.Now the caveat - I used this with a high power USB charger, which actually cost me £18 (I use it for charging normally).If you plug this into your laptop, or your usual USB charger, I bet it won't work, because the port simply won't be able to deliver the current. The symptoms you get will be that it comes on but never gets hot - sounds familiar?So do yourself a favour, plug it into a high-amp USB socket. It should have a warning on the description not to plug into a low power socket, it just won't work :-)To follow up this review, it's now August. 5 months have passed and I've used it about 10 times in that period.It's died. The light comes on but it does not heat up (still using the high amp PSU).That also could be what the other buyers have experienced with this.For £10 or so, I got a few months of very light use from it.Worth it? Probably not.

Works great with the 2.1 amp USB plug I picked up from the pound shop for £2 lolHeats up quick, and very handy for smoothing my 3D pen creations,this would also be ideal for use as a soldering iron which is its other purpose10/10

Turns on for about 5 seconds then turns off, and just does this the whole time I'm trying to use it. It won't stay on at all. Very flimsy and doesn't want to work properly. Not happy with this product at all.

Works very well for the price and simplicity. I use it mainly for finishing 3D prints but it will come in handy for soldering too.

It just doesn’t work! Light comes on and gets to room temperature

Was soldering some electrics, it broke after the first use.

Would recommend highly. Great product if alittle cheap looking.
