Helped me remove deck boards fairly easy that had screws holding. Just make sure you have a sturdy metal handle. The 4” space between was wide enough to pry when 2 joists were sandwiched together. Well worth it.

Works like it should. I built the pictured set out of pallet wood I pulled from a dumpster. Because the pallet tool was so effective I only used 5 pallets to build this whole set. Very little wood was damaged or broken while disassembling the pallets. I bought both tools in the photo and as a duo they are amazing. It took less than 10 minutes to take a pallet apart and most of that time was spent pounding the nails out. I had a lot of fun building this patio set out of salvaged pallets and these tools were what made it fun. They took the most frustrating part out of the process; getting the wood apart in one piece. Including these tools I spent very little to build a beautiful patio set that I am sure I will put to use for many many years and I get to brag that I made them

Works great at disassembling pallets. I'd recommend getting one with the handle. Trying to find a handle is not easy

It is well made and I went down to the local engineering company and got them to cut me some pipe and I drilled holes near the bottom to accommodate the pin for the handle. I made the handle 1.5m long and provides good leavage. It works great and broke apart pallets being an inch thick and tripled nailed on each board, as traditional method were tough going but with this pallet buster, it made life easier. For the price it was way cheaper than getting the engineering company to weld one for me (the said $280) and I live in New Zealand (cost about $89 NZD for it to be sent including delivery), so for $100 including the handle it will work great to make some good pallet projects.

Functions as described. Quality construction. Good money saving option if you've already got a length of pipe laying around for a handle. Great for using pallet wood for planter boxes, etc..

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I was breaking down heavy oak pallets with a 3’ crowbar and it was awful. This tool is a lifesaver and sped the process up 10x at least. All I needed was a 5’ long 1” pipe for use as the handle, and drilled a hole in it for the pin. Keep in mind the pipe from the home center was almost as much as the tool, that shocked me.

This thing is solid and thick metal (seems like steal) and is well worth the price however be aware that you will need to buy a 1 inch thick pipe. For me it cost me around $20 at homedepot. And make sure you bring it in the store with you to check the size because the 1 inch pipe is a little bigger than 1 inch. You may also want to pick up a pipe cutter, a hole punch and a metal drill bit if you don’t already have one so that you can insert the pin and cut it down to a comfortable size. Iv been using this to take apart pallets for projects and it is making the process go smoothly and is actually allowing me to reuse many of the nails being pulled out. Taking apart pallets and cleaning them up is a bit of work but in the end it is satisfying.
