This truly does not taste like bone broth. It is collagen powder, and has very little flavor, not unlike unflavored gelatin. There are better sources of protein (this only has 2g!) and made with packaging that tells more about the ingredients and sources than this one. Threw it out;.

This 16 ounce re-sealable pouch of powdered chicken bone broth and as stated on the back label contains 14 two tablespoon servings. Directions on the pouch are to dissolve one serving (two tablespoons) in eight ounces of hot water. The ingredients are simply hydrolyzed chicken bone broth so no sugar, salt or other seasonings are added so it is a good choice for fasting but without any salt the flavor is flat. That said it is easy enough to add salt or other seasoning to taste if sipping the broth.The lack of seasoning allows for more options if adding to cooking where additional salt may not be needed in a dish or spices may conflict with other favors. Quick and convenient at the time of this review in July 2024 this shelf-stable powder has a Best By date 24 months in the future but dates will vary. Use promptly after opening. When this review was written inconsistency in the information about number of servings and preparation which may cause confusion and is the reason for the rating.

This doesn't taste like chicken at all. It doesn't really taste like bone broth. It doesn't have much of a smell or taste.It just dissolves in hot water and even if I put extra in, I still can't taste it.

The HearthyFoods Chicken Bone Broth Powder is not what I expected - it doesn't seem to be bone broth powder as much as it seems to be unflavored gelatin. The powder has no flavor, contains only 2 grams of protein, and supposedly nothing else. I don't know about you, but this sounds sus to the max. It doesn't add enough nutrients or real benefits as a supplement, and there is no flavor whatsoever in the powder, which gives me no reason to add it to anything.If this is supposed to be collagen powder, this is a terrible option given that most collagen powder contains way more protein along with biotin, sodium, and it should have a few calories. Because I can't tell what this is, it went straight to the trash. This is a suspect item that I would not buy.

I wouldn't buy this as a stand alone "drink mix" but it is really nice to have high quality bone broth powder to add into my homemade soups and stews!

This is essentially collagen powder, and should have been marketed as such. Also, low protein per serving.
