Being a fan of funk music, especially the new wave genre of the early 80's, Dazz Band have without doubt contributed a few classics, that any funk fan would be proud of. "Let it whip" and "joystick" being the most outstanding. The 80's of course brought a new funk sound to the table, with the introduction of synthesizers and drum machines giving a harder edge to the music, The Gap Band, Prince, George Clinton and Chaka Khan were exponents of this new method, which drifted away from the more instrumental sound of the 70's. Overall a good solid collection of songs, the first four tracks on this album are the most playable, top quality for a good party.
