Fantastic Belt (how tall are you?)
I would recommend Harbinger belts like this one to anyone! But I thought it might be helpful if I let you be aware you should consider your height when purchasing a belt.I love my Medium Harbinger 5-Inch width belt and I will use it whenever I have heavy front squats, back squats, overhead squats and hang cleans.BUT when I deadlift... I prefer the 4" as opposed to the 5" because it digs in just a bit. I am 5'11.5" (6' with shoes) my friend who is 5'6" says the same thing but he uses the 4" for all that stuff and prefers a 3" belt for deadlifts. My waist is 33, my friend's waist is 30... we both have the medium belt but because we are different heights we choose different belt widths.so to give you a rough guide:UNDER 5'6" Just the 3" Harbinger Belt should work perfectly.5'6"-5'9.5" it's iffy (perhaps have both like my buddy does or just buy the 3" as your universal belt)5'9.5"-5'11" Just the 4" Harbinger Belt should work perfectly.5'11"-6'1" it's iffy (perhaps use both 4" and 5" like I do or Just buy the 4" as your universal belt)OVER 6'1" Just the 5" Harbinger Belt should work perfectly.Personally I am okay owning both the 4" and 5"WHY AM I OKAY WITH OWNING 2 LIFTING BELTS? Because I want the full wall of support for heavy squats which the 5" gives me but for Dead lifts and Power Cleans (when I am picking up from the ground) a slightly smaller 4" belt gives me maximum support without getting in my way. I could get away with either belt but I would have some give and take on different lifts. I am sure the 4" would give me decent enough support for the squats but because I don't want an injury I have both.My last word of advice is to prevent injury: "Use a belt any time you go over 70% of your max! But DO NOT use a belt any lighter than that."GOOD LUCK!

Feels great! Excellent price!
In regards to the size, it fits well. I'm a 32 but can fit into nearly anything 28-33. Judging by how much is left on the belt, I would say that anyone up to about a 36 could wear this.I've had a few back injuries over the past few years. More recently, I strained a lumbar in my lower back while squatting about a month and a half ago. Naturally, I decided that I needed to finally protect myself more while lifting. After taking a month off, I was able to return to the weights (mainly powerlifting) almost as if I had never left. My lifts only tapered a little (10 pounds), and after two weeks of wearing the belt, I feel much more confident and compact - especially in my core - while lifting.

Provides great support and allowed me to lift a lot heavier weights in the gym!
I bought this after a solid hour of looking at reviews for this belt and many others, because I really wanted to find the perfect belt. I recommend sizing up, because I'm a Small on the chart but I ordered a Medium, which works perfectly. I think a Small wouldn't have had enough support in the front. Before buying this, I used my friend's thick leather lifting belt, so I wasn't sure if this soft foam core would be enough support. But, when I lifted with it, it worked perfectly and the support was definitely enough. It allowed me to add 30 lbs to my back squat PR, and I don't feel like I have to worry about straining my back when I'm wearing this. Wearing it allows me to focus on other aspects of my lifting, such as my breathing and form/technique.

Durable & Comfortable
Bought this item 3 years ago.Did so on the recommendation of my physician after tearing a lower ab muscle. It has seen consistent use since July 2012. My waist fluctuates between 30 and 31 inches and I have a good fit with size Medium. I like the velcro fastener and it took about 3 months for the belt to feel like a perfect fit. It works just as well in July '15 as it did in July '12.

Perfect fit
The 5 inch weight belt is a perfect comprise between the 4 inch belt and the larger 8 inch belt (with high back). It offers complete support and more flexibility. Harbinger products are study, well made and very durable, they retail their original shape and provide maximum support. Can't go wrong with this weight belt.

Great belt at a amazing price.
Ordered this belt as it came highly recommended by those who compete in Olympic Weightlifting. This is my first time using a belt so didn’t want to go all out for a leather one yet. This belt didn’t disappoint, great fit, remains fasten and does the job.

Quality product that is comfortable to wear and offers a sound amount of support
Quality product that is comfortable to wear and offers a sound amount of support. Regarding sizing, I hover between a 32-inch and 34-inch waist, and decided to go with a size medium. Quite honestly, i think i would probably go for a large next time. When tightened fully for lifting, the belt barely covers a third of the Velcro. When loosened between sets, i'm able to use only around an inch of the Velcro. This doesn't affect the functionality, but i'm just wondering if i would have been closer to sitting in the middle of the adjustable range with a large size instead of a medium.

Great product 34" waist. Large works great!!!
The sizes are just kind of small, NOT way off like everyone thinks...My waist is about 34" and Large works really well. I got a Medium for a few of my athletes, and I can fit it around my waist and velcro like 2 inches... Not enough hook and llop secured...Everyone who says that it runs way small underestimate their waist "...
