Stays in the dishwasher and appears to work as it says. Stopped the rust on my knives.

This magnet destroyed our high end Miele dishwasher as the water flow meter uses a magnetic contactor. We started to have F13 error messages and we had to replace the flowmeter which is an electromagnetic contractor that measures the amount of water coming in the dishwasher. My advice is to not buy this dangerous product if you want to avoid expensive repairs on your dishwasher.

I started seeing a few rust spots of the blades on some of my kitchen knives after they were washed in the dishwasher. I'm unsure why. We have replaced the dishwasher (and then the spots began but not with the old one) and later the water heater (and had no new spots). I don't know whether it's this product or something else or a combo but I've had no more issues. It's also good to dry thoroughly if still damp and dry well even handwashed items to help prevent spots. Not leaving wet or damp is always a plus and unsure if magnetism plays a part but it doesn't seem to hurt.

I noticed a difference since i started using the product, which i fully recommend
