Beurer IL50 Infrared Heat Lamp Heated Red Light Therapy Lamp for Body, Face, Sinuses, & Skin - Effective Muscle Pain & Cold Relief Treatment by Improving Blood Circulation

I bought this almost 2 months ago to aid me in my severe car accident healing quest. I have been in debilitating pain since mid July and it is now Mid Dec. i go to Physical Therapy twice a week and was wanting to do therapy at home because I was desperate for pain relief. I purchased this device end of October and have to say out of everything I do and have bought to help me, this is my favorite. Initially I used it twice a day- way too much because I believe you should not use it more than 20 minutes total each session this the timer—as I moved it from my neck to my shoulder to my upper back, then lower back then right hip- multiple spots and angles as I had multiple fractures in my pelvis on that side. I look a fool using a variety of things to set it on and also to set my body on. I don’t care as it has brought me the most relief. I only use it once a day now - usually in the evenings-and have added the other kind of red light/Infrared body panel to my daily therapy for morning. now I use near and far infrared. This device is still my favorite. I am having incredible results and my Physical Therapist is pleased. I am also beginning to Be able to sleep for short periods of time on my side which has helped me sleep much better. As a bonus, I was pleasantly surprised when my pointer finger returned to it’s normal size a few weeks after using this device on it. The hand specialist told me it was a burst joint fluid sac filling the finger and that there was nothing really we could do as it would just fill up with fluid again if we drained it. It is dried up now!!! I’m not sure if it will heal it all the way as it hasn’t been that long but I’m very pleased to have my finger looking feminine again! Infrared is supposed to aid healing on a cellular level and that is fantastic, because even though I cannot tell what’s going on on the inside, my pain levels are much improved and life feels doable again!!! I have sent one to my Aunt who has rheumatoid arthritis and very bad hands because she loved using mine. I cannot recommend enough and even if mine broke tomorrow, I would not hesitate to try and replace the bulb and if necessary buy a new one!

I suffer from chronic muscle pain in my back neck and arm from working on computers for long hours. I've bought a lot of gadgets over the years to try to help with this. On my list I have rollers, floss bands, massage device, EMS unit, a lot of ice packs and one of those things that hang you upside down. Recently I went on a 16 mile hike and the next day I was crippled. Had to see the doctor and got a bunch of anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants and a steroid shot to relieve the pain so I could last the day at work. I probably should have just gone home and skipped the shot. I found this device while, once again trying to find something to help heal my body so I didn't have to take all the meds. Pros : *Instantly gets hot when you turn it on. * Has a timer set to 15 mins by default. * Very sturdy * Allows for tilting * heat up muscles before workouts to reduce injuries. * helps circulation in injured area by bringing more blood to the heated area * keeps you warm when it's cold. *relaxes tense muscles Cons: *More like caution- extremely hot so be very careful. I burned myself pretty bad when my elbow accidentally brushed against front glass surface after it turned off. I put it on one of those TV dinner tray things and on top of a box so that the height is parallel to my bed. This allows me to lay with my back or neck to it. It has been a huge help for me but the most amazing thing of all, it brought the biggest smile to my teenagers face when she used it on her injured knee.

Great product. Eased my back pain after one treatment. Just wish that the instructions, detailed as they were, mentioned how long to wait between uses. It is actually at least 30 minutes. Also, it does work either on bare skin or through a garment.

I have just used this for the first time and it is much better than the cheapie bulb lamp style one I bought (it even heats at certain temps and up to an hour, which isn’t safe if it was real IR). I like the features of the cheap quality one in that it has a desk lamp type base that is highly adjustable and can stand on the floor at decent height. However, this Beurer one feels like awesome clinical grade quality. It’s so simple to use. I urge you to read the instructions first. Apparently you have to let it cool down with the automatic fan after 15 min of heat, for 5 min and THEN turn it off. The instructions say to be between 12-16” of distance and I felt the heat plenty from far! I could see where it could burn you if you are not careful. Heat feels great! I wish it had a tall stand, like a desk lamp because you have to find a surface that can bring it to the height of your ailment. Since it is my first treatment, I cannot yet say if improvement will follow but of the products out there, I found it effective as far as REAL IR heat and the quality is there, it’s easy to use and I love the swivel adjustment. It even comes with eye goggles for protection. Odd the instructions say don’t use directly on face but in another part of the booklet, it can be intended for it. It’s a keeper for me!
