The product is worth it. I just started using this from the beginning of this month in my car. My car interiors used to smell (stink). I kept the Medium size pouch of Dr. Charcoal on the coat hanger in the rear seat (right side). The smell disappeared after 3-4 hours and so far, it is doing its work perfectly. On the package, it was mentioned that once in a month, the bag should be kept in direct sunlight for one hour to reactivate the Charcoal. On a side note, I had bought the "Medium" Size. It is quite big at approximately 10cms by 7cms. Thumbs up to the Dr. Charcoal team for making this product. Note: Don't expect your cold and asthma to be treated by just using this. *UPDATE:* The maximum time you can go between reactivating the activated Charcoal is about 45 days, after which its effect is markedly reduced and it takes about 15-20 minutes to absorb the bad odours. (On an average it used to only take 5 minutes to remove any bad odours) *UPDATE2:* I bought another medium size bag of Dr. Charcoal for the kitchen. No odour which is produced due to cooking with spices, etc are transferred out of the kitchen, and usually the kitchen is smell-free within 5 minutes of cooking.

Firstly, there's a very big difference between ordinary charcoal and activated charcoal. These bags contain activated charcoal. How it works When air passes through these bags, the activated charcoal adsorbs (not absorbs) particles of impurities at a molecular level. This is used in RO water purifiers for taste and odor removal too. What to expect I have one room without a window which feels stuffy, there are tons of old clothes/boxes which often give out mild odor and feeling of stagnant air. Got this to make the air feel fresh. It definitely works when used correctly!! Make sure that you: 1. Hang it in a place where the air has a chance to pass through the activated charcoal bag. Don't expect to keep it in a tightly enclosed space and expect it to work. 2. Get sufficient quantity. If the room is small but there are many windows which allows new and odored air to come in, then you need more quantity of activated charcoal. 3. Make sure you dry it outside in bright sunlight every 3-4 weeks. Eventually, it will have to be replaced after 1-1.5 years. If you use the right quantity and place the bags at the right location, you will be surprised by how "fresh" the air gets. It's not just a deodorant it makes the air feel new and fresh.

Worst ever product please do not buy and waste your money. I kept this garbage charcoal for 10 days and it has zero effect. How does such products allowed by Amazon

Dr. Charcoal Non Electric Purifiers are simply amazing.. This bag is my most favorite of all three variants because I love its deep blue color. I have always been a lover of blue and the lace detailing at the centre makes me love this bag even more. I have bought it in a smaller size (200 gms) to use it in small areas. Although 200 gms bag is meant to be used inside car, bathroom etc but I like to use it in my kitchen as I think it is most needed there. Obviously, everyone wants to have a smell free, fresh kitchen. I have hung it near my rack and it looks great there. It absorbs all moisture and humidity from the kitchen and keeps it fresh like never before. It soaks in all the pungent smell whenever I cook egg or any form of meat. It is a miracle for kitchen. I love its effectiveness and can’t think of removing it any time later or sooner. It does not irritate my sensitive nose in any way. This powerful charcoal bag has thousands of tiny little pores that act like a trap. As air passes through these pores, odor, allergen and bacteria particles are trapped on the surface, which in turn purifies the air.
