Item looked refurbished instead of new. Need an explanation for the lack of proper packaging.

I got the item without proper package on the inside. Usually, any new electronic item comes with screen tape and a cover along with the outer box. Although the box was sealed, the tab didn't have any screen tape or a cover which a new device would usually have in the package. The item looked refurbished. Need to do a proper scrutiny, as this one didn't look like a new item.
