Almost perfect.
DownUnders are great, especially for the mild but real mid-metatarsal bump that they have, lacking from almost every other brand of affordable aftermarket footbeds. This minor bump makes a big difference, supporting the mild transverse arch that exists from side to side of the foot across the metatarsal region (in addition to the main lengthwise arch that people are more familiar with). This does a lot to reduce fatigue and keep the foot from slipping.DownUnders also have what I've found to be the industry's best upper surface material in contact with your feet or socks. It's both the longest lasting of all, usually outlasting the compression lifetime of the footbed (many hundreds of miles), and also very non-slip. On steep hikes I save a lot of unnecessary toe action and other muscle tension that would potentially lead to more fatigue or blisters, thanks to these footbeds simply keeping my foot more firmly in a centered location. The only reason I'm giving four instead of five stars? Honestly, Montrail Enduro-Sole footbeds cost the same and are the only product that is even better than DownUnders. They lack the metatarsal bump and the upper fabric is only "almost" as good, but they are comfortable for about 25 to 50 percent longer hikes thanks to their self-customizing shape. But enough about that, go check them out. What I do is carry both Enduro-Soles and DownUnders and switch between them daily or every half day. The support and volume are similar enough to not present a problem, and the change helps reduce sole fatigue.

Great fit for most shoes, but your feet may sweat.
Especially good if you have a problem with twisting your ankles, as the hell cup helps prevent this motion. They were recommended to me by a ski boot fitter. The blue version is for ski boots. I have both, but do not see or feel much difference. I used Superfeet green insoles for years, which worked well but this brand fits me even better, especially in the arch.My only complaint is that both these and the blue versions tend to get hotter than expected after a couple of hours, even in the winter. Will see how they feel in the summer, but going barefoot isn't an option. If using in a close-fitting dress shoe, these might be a bit bulky. You could try trimming them, but the construction of the heel cup probably limits how much can be effectively trimmed while still providing adequate support.

Very good product.
I've been buying these insoles for 15 years. They last for multiple years. In 2015 you could by them for under $20/pair. Now they are over $50. They fit my foot well.

Love these helpful tools to control high arch pain.
I have several pairs of these orthotics to use in several pairs of my shoes. They have provided me with comfort while preventing foot pain due to my history of Planters Fasciitis.

Very firm, super support
I love these inserts. Will make any soft shoe feel firm and hard again. Great for hiking and running if you like a super supportive feel. They are waterproof and I even use them in my scuba diving booties.

These were ok,but
I have had better luck with the Power steps for foot pain relief, they might work out better for other people, but thePower steps have been the best of all I tried. They weren't so good that I stopped looking.

Pricey but Worth It.
These things are great. The original pair was bought through a podiatrist. I liked them so much I bought two pairs here. They're about the same price on the web.
