Frame, MOLLE II #1609, Foliage, Medium

I bought this frame to use with my Medium Alice pack. It slides up into the pocket for the frame and I used the little straps and buckles that are used to attach the original Alice frame at the bottom to attach pack to this frame. I wanted to use the newer military Molly waist belt and this frame makes that easy to do. The frame is a little longer than the pack so now it rides in the right place with the hip belt helping to Carry the load. I use this as a day pack or overnight pack so I can’t say how much weight it will help with but it makes it more comfortable for my application.

This unit is high quality and durable. One star deducted for slow shipping. Unfortunately the 1609 frame will not solve your Medium Alice pack issues. Even with light loads (20 lbs) the frame is too flimsy & doesn't provide enough support. The 1606AC is a better option.

This fit my Alice pack perfectly. Very light, but surprised how strong it is. This is not cheap plastic.
