I first used a retractable charging cable a few years ago, it was rubbish and I've ignored them ever since, I took a punt on this one and how things have changed! This retractable cable is superb!ProsHeavy duty cablesNice size3 different connectionsEasy action retraction/extensionLooks stylishConsDifficult to gauge length presetsThe retractable cable arrives in a dubious bag, spot the mistake but it looks like its the wrong bag, but I don't care a jot about that as it was evident that the contents exceeded my expectations, first impressions were very good as this thing looks superb and heavy duty.It is larger than I expected but in a good way, it has nice thick cables which are ribbon style which should be a lot more durable than others I've tried, the main hub looks good with a sturdy piano Black plastic construction, the cable extracts easily and snaps to 3 preset lengths, but it wasn't easy to know where the presets were and took trial & error to get right, the full length was easy enough though, the mechanism felt quite good with its spring action.The 3 different ends made this especially convenient for me:1 x USB-C1 x Micro USB1 x LightningThe lightning & USB-C support fast charging but I couldn't see if they support DATA? But to be fair is is supposed to be a charging cable and that's what I got it for.The size was larger than I expected but still reasonably compact and handy to stash in your pocket or bag, it is especially useful to partner up with a power-bank.There's not much more to say other than I was more than satisfied with this retractable charging cable and it is a perfect partner for my powerbank, I feel this will be far more durable than my old cheapo one and the durable cables should take some abuse too.Overall ConclusionFor under a tenner this charging cable would have been worth the money just as a cable, the retractability of it added to the value and feels quite the bargain, it looks good, works well and a lot less messy than loose cables.

This charger has a premium feel - it arrives with protective plastic film on the shiny bits and the cables feel very robust. What I love is that the main connection can work as either USB C or USB A by using the adaptor. The other end has an iPhone Lightning cable, a USB C cable and a Micro USB cable (which you don't see so often on newer devices, however it's certainly useful to have - we've got a powerbank, baby monitor and a nightlight that all use a micro-USB connection, so certainly not obsolete). The cables are neatly coiled inside, meaning you only need this one charger to cover pretty much every device.I got it with a niche purpose in mind - we have a Tesla Model 3 that only offers USB C ports for rear passengers. Using this allows all devices to be charged easily, and the fact that the cable unwinds 4ft (!) makes it really convenient.It fast charged my Samsung phone with no problem.I've knocked it down a mark as I can't see a way to reliably retract the cable back inside the winder. I was expecting a button but it seems like you just have to poke it back in!Aside from that, this is a high quality, brilliant space saving charger.

I receive this item free of charge for an honest review under the 'Vine' program. I have to say immediately that I am very impressed with this device. The power source connector has an adapter which means it can be plugged into either a Type A charger socket or a Type C charger socket. The three device side connectors cover Lighting, Type C and Micro USB which I find covers 95% of my gadgets with USB charging (the only other USB type I still need for a couple of my older devices is USB mini but I can buy a very cheap mini to micro converter).The retraction/expansion mechanism works very well and the overall construction seems very strong. On my travels abroad I carry both Android and Apple phones and an MP3 player (with a micro USB charging port). The versatility of this item will therefore make it perfect for my travel needs.At the current selling price I think this item is very good value for money. I just hope the spring retraction mechanism will continue to work as flawlessly as it does currently.

This is a really well designed cable. The retractable mechanism works very well, and allows you to get the cable to the exact length you need.At the charger end, the cable has a Type-C connector with a Type-A adapter - meaning almost all charger options are catered for, from a USB port on a TV to a modern PD charger. At the charging end, there are three options: Type-C, lightning, and micro-usb. This means modern devices, legacy apple devices, and legacy android devices can all be charged. You can use one, two or all three connectors simultaneously, but of course overall charging capacity will be shared across the devices.My highers power device is a ThinkPad laptop (65W) and it charges at full speed using in the Type-C connector. My old iPad Air and some low power Bluetooth earbuds also charge fine using the other two connectors.This is ideal to keep in a car glove box, or in a coat pocket. It is an excellent charging cable.
